New recording does not follow updated CompareMode

Hello,

In the project settings, I changed the CompareMode from FullPathAndQuery to RelativePathOnly.  I then updated all Elements and resumed recording.  The new recorded steps revert back to recording under FullPathAndQuery, which then creates duplicate Elements.  How can I force new recording to follow what I selected for CompareMode of RelativePathOnly?

FWIW, the URL I am using follows the format 'http://test.abc.com/policy/doit.aspx'.  Does this issue happen because the URL is not 'http://www.abc.com/policy/doit.aspx' instead?

Please excuse me for the delayed reply.
I have tried to reproduce this behavior with Test Studio version 2012.1.719 but I was not able to. Could you please record a short video demonstrating the problem. Jing is very useful screen cast software you could use. If you can provide access to the website you are testing so we can try to get a repro it would be nice, however this should be Test Studio related issue, not application based. Please note that you are currently typing in public available forum, so if you are going to share some sensitive login information you should open a support ticket.
Another thing I want you to try is to create a brand new project and see what type of Compare Mode is used.
The Relative option should ignore the http://www.abc.com portion of the URL so I assume this should not be an issue.
