Missing testcase

I have testcases missing from my project folder, does anyone know how i can recover them?

Hi Meshack,

Test Studio doesn't have a dedicated backup mechanism for day-to-day work on the project. This is why it will be helpful if you can share some details how you get to the current state where some tests are missing.

• Are the tests missing in the Project Explorer when the project is opened in Test Studio? 
• Do you see the tests if you open the project root folder in the Windows File Explorer?
• What changes you performed recently since you noticed the tests are missing?
• Do you use any sort of source control to keep track of changes in the project?

There are few possibilities you could have in mind:

• If you are using source control and there were some merge conflicts, you will need to resolve these manually. Then the tests will probably be loaded correctly. 
• If you have recently updated Test Studio product, there is a backup of the project available - it is in the project root folder under the Backup sub-folder. You can take a copy of the project from there. 
• If you have manually excluded the tests from the project through the test context menu, you will need to modify the Settings.aiis file manually. Let me know if this is the case. 

Of course, the occurrence might be a consequence of something else, so I will appreciate if you elaborate on the case further. That way we will be able to identify the most suitable solution.
