Good Morning,

Is there any way to view the result history of a single test that is part of a test list?

We run a test list each night and I can look at each nightly test list run and check individually but I'm looking for a more simple way to see the full history of a single test and how often it is passing or failing.

Hi Adrian,

I understand your point and how this can be used as a health metric for certain functionality. That said, this is data that we do not represent in Test Studio or the Executive Dashboard.

My suggestion is to always try to fix and stabilize failing tests, before putting them in the test list and in the repeated test execution - Scheduling or CI/CD.

Depending on the reason for the test failure and the reason for monitoring its success rate, you can consider adding this test (or several tests) in a separate test list. The success rate of that smaller test list will help you gauge the stability of that functionality or the application. Is this something that can help you with your scenario?

Hi Plamen,

Thanks for your repsonse .  I understand your comment 'always try to fix and stabilize failing tests, before putting them in the test list and in the repeated test execution - Scheduling or CI/CD' but sometimes the test is not the actual issue, it could be environmental or other issues.

Having said that I understand it is not a feature but would be a good one to have in my opinion.

Hi Adrian,

The stability of a certain functionality in the application, that is represented by a test for example, is something that we have considered internally before. We did not get to implement it in favor of other features. 

Your feedback is valuable and I created a feature request in our public portal on your behalf. There, you and other customers can vote to increase the importance of that feature and help the product team plan our roadmap.
