Hello,

I have been able to successfully execute tests in IE 7, however when I attempt to execute the same test in Chrome v14.0, the test fails on either clicking a hyperlink or verifying text.  I have completed the browser configuration instructions...are there any other suggestions or minor nuances I should check?

Thanks much!
Alan

Hi Alan,

We will need details on the specific steps to troubleshoot why they are failing. The "Export Result to File" feature from the Step Failure Details is a good start.

If the test was recorded against a publicly accessible site, we'd like to run it first-hand and see the issue directly. You can attach the test files (within a zip file) or instructions for reproduction to a support ticket which is confidential, unlike this forum post.

Anthony,

I have attached the results export.  Let me know if you need anything else.

Additionally, I noticed some odd behavior.  Notice that step 8 of the ExecutionLog.txt has failed.  For all re-reuns, however, the failure occurs at step 7.  When I close Telerik Test Studio, launch it again, re-run this test, the failure occurs at step 8 again (and re-runs again fail at step 7).  Here is the failure summary from the re-runs:

Exception thrown while finding elements for the following descriptor 'Click 'TestLink''. Exception 'ArtOfTest.WebAii.Exceptions.ExecuteCommandException: ExecuteCommand failed!<
br>BrowserCommand (Type:'Information',Info:'DocumentMarkup',Action:'NotSet',Target:'null',Data:'',ClientId:'83b83f8a-8bd0-4bc3-9809-8385866ace20',HasFrames:'False',FramesInfo:'',TargetFrameIndex:'0',InError:'False',Response:'')

Thanks again for your help...

Hi Alan,

Thanks for the additional information. Unfortunately, even with the logs, it isn't clear why your test passes in IE yet fails in Chrome.

The next step is for me to test the issue directly. I noticed your app is publicly accessible. Please provide a test that logs into your app, navigates to the problematic page, and demonstrates the issue. Be sure to add the tests files to a .zip file first.

You can start a support ticket and attach the .zip file there. Tickets are confidential, unlike forum posts.

Thanks for attempting to look at it.  I have submitted ticket 468555 with login instructions.
