Hi,
I have recorded a test and have more than 20 steps. I have few verification points and many times validations are gone for failure due to timeout issue.. How can I set timeout option properly after clicking a link or button in popup or dialogbox?

I'm using the internal build 2010.2.927

Thanks,
Palani.

Hi Palani,

In order to do this, first locate the item you want WebUI studio to wait on (such as seeing if an item on the page is visible). When you find the verification rule you want the test to wait on, right-click the verification rule and choose Set as Wait. If you right-click the rule again it will have a blue/black check next to "Set as Wait", and as well the rule name changes to start with "Wait for...".

You may also need to change the Wait on Elements timer (located in the properties box on the right of the WebUI Studio tool). The value is in milliseconds. Changing this value can make further accomadation for latency you are experiencing for your silverlight application. For the project I provided you in a different thread, I set some of the wait rules to 10000 (10 seconds) to allow the silverlight application to load fully.

Sincerely yours,

Hi,
I have given WaitOnElement as 30000 and enabled 'Set as Wait'. Still I'm facing this error.

Thanks,
Palani

Hi Palani,

Since you are still experiencing this issue, do you have some time tomorrow so that we can setup a GoToMeeting? What time tomorrow would work best for you (times listed are UTC -6)?

10AM-1130AM
2PM-5PM

Pick a time and we can setup a 30 minute call for us to be able to use GoTo meeting. This way we can have you show us the failure that is occurring by sharing your screen. Please let us know in your reply what works best for you.

Greetings,

Hi Keaegan,
 Sorry for late reply.

Sure. We can have a meeting. My TimeZone is UTC+5.30.. Will come up the time later.

Hi Palani,

It looks like (with the time difference) we should shoot to setup a meeting for closer to the end of your workday (this is usually the best time). When does your workday begin and end (specific times)? This data will help me setup a time for a GoTo Meeting that works best for you. Since you are in a special location we will make accommodations for this call.

I'll look for your reply with the times.

Sincerely yours,
