I have created test in Test Studio. Then I want to modify it by MS Visual Studio, I create new empty Telerik Test in VS and merge it with previously created Test Studio project (but don't merge Pages.g.cs) file.
Then I add files from Test Studio test to VS project.
Now I can't compile project because following error:
Error    1    The item "Pages.g.cs" was specified more than once in the "Sources" parameter.  Duplicate items are not supported by the "Sources" parameter.    1959_ImplementWorkflowBindContactAndAccount

How could I fix it?

How I should do merging correctly? Step by step instructions are welcome.

Hello Alexander,

You can export your test project from the Standalone version to Visual Studio by using our Export to Visual Studio feature. This will create a .csproj/.vbproj file that can be opened via Visual Studio in order to load all the tests contained in the test project.

All the best,

Hi Pam,

I am sorry to hear that  you are experiencing this issue.

In order to help you best we will need some more information:
1) What version of Visual Studio and Test Studio you are using?

2) Could you please send us the application log when this problem happens. Clear it first and then reproduce the issue.

3) If this issue happens only with a specific project, could you please send us the project. If the project is very large, you can  also use Dropbox or Google Drive. Please upload the project folder, then share the folder and paste a link in this forum thread.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Hello Habiba,

In order to run Test Studio tests in Visual Studio you should export the project first. This is a built-in functionality that you can easily use from within our prodct. Please follow the instructions in this article.

Should you have any additional questions or face any difficulties please let me know.

Hello Habiba,

Thank you for sharing a screenshot of the observed error.

To me it seems the error is not directly related to Test Studio, but to be sure I will need the whole project in order to investigate it further on my side. This said, is it possible to share it with us? If yes, please have in mind that this forum thread is public and if you attach the project here, it will be publicly accessible on the internet. This said, I will recommend opening a support ticket on the same issue and sharing the project there.

I hope the above is doable for you and I am looking forward to your reply.

Regards,
Ivaylo

Hello Hye Wook,

As far as I understand you are trying to open a Test Studio project in Visual Studio and you face the error that the project dll cannot be opened. Have you first exported the project to Visual Studio one?

Which is the version of Visual Studio you have troubles with? Do you have other versions currently installed? If you export the project to any other version, do you see the same misbehavior? What edition is the Visual Studio you have in use - the minimum supported by Test Studio is Professional.

In case the issue is still reproducible, please pack in an archive a sample project which can demonstrate the misbehavior and send it via this thread for further investigation.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
