How to combine the same element under different dynamic frames

   telerik team

  For these dynamic frames, the frame ID that the same element belongs to is changed when you record each time. 

  I get the point to change the frame ID to '~****' for locating.

 And my case here is that one step is enter value in the textfield, the other step is to extract value from the textfield.
 So the problem comes, the same textfield is under different frames. 
When I run the test, it failed at the second step to locate i guess.

Hello,

You should be able to edit each of the other three frame nodes the same way you edited the initial one (~FrameDIgFrame). Then refresh the Elements Explorer and all frame nodes should collapse into one.

  Thanks for your quick response.

   I tried as you mentioned. And the frame nodes are named in sequence (~FrameDIgFrame, ~FrameDIgFrame0,~FrameDIgFrame1) after refreshing instead of ccollapsing into one.
   Meanwhile, the same element displays seperately under1st frame and 2nd frame before, go under 1st frame with different sequence.
  
   Are they as expected?

Hello,

This indicates that there's still differences between how each Frame node is defined. Each node must have the exact same properties for Test Studio to recognize them as identical and collapse them into one.

For elements, their Find Settings dictate whether they will be recognized as unique. You'll need to edit the find settings of the second element to match that of the first for Test Studio to combine them into one.

If you require further assistance, please attach a copy of the project so I can see the issue directly. I don't need to execute any tests directly, just load the project and inspect the Elements Explorer. If you feel that information is too sensitive for a public forum, attach the project (within a .zip file) to a support ticket (which is confidential) and reference this post.

  I re-recorded the test case yesterday, and this question jumped and it works well now.
