    Hi,

I have following scenario to test:
    1. Register as user to website.
    2. Verification mail is sent to user's mail id, having a link to confirm user account.
    3. Login to admin portal and open item created by action#1.
    4. Mail which was sent in step#2 is attached.
    5. Open attachment and copy link given in mail and paste it in new browser.

Is it possible? I was able to proceed till step 4 but copy link didn't worked.

    Thanks,
    Amit

    Hello Amit,

Yes this is possible, however you should use some web-based mail to automate it.

Desktop version of Microsoft Outlook Mail is not a WPF application hence Test Studio cannot automate it.

If I am missing something please elaborate a bit more on your scenario.

A Jing video demonstration may also help us to better understand what you want to achieve exactly.

Hope to hear from you soon.

    Thanks Boyan.

In my case, mail is attached  and opened in browser as popup so I can't use mail client. I am attaching the sample mail. I have to copy link from here which didn't worked.

    Hello Amit,

In order to assist you best please give us more detailed information.

    1. Is Test Studio able to connect to that pop up (i.e. can you click on the given link)?

    2. If you haven't done so already, please calibrate your browser as seen in this article. If Internet Explorer is calibrated correctly you don't need to copy and paste the link in a new browser. When you click on the link it will load automatically in a new browser.

If Test Studio is not able to connect to the pop up please:

    1. Send us the execution log.

    2. Please record a short video to show us the issue you are experiencing. Jing is great for this.

Hope to hear from you soon.
