Hello,

Another one of my tests is check how works the Test Tool in different browsers. When running the test in IE and Firefox it works fine, but when I'm running it with Chrome it stops when trying to click a button, it stops trying "Locating elements...." and it seems it never works. How could we check where is the problem?.

Thanks

Hello Manuel,

After that step fails in Chrome, use the Export Result to File feature in Step Failure Details and attach the file to your next post. If the site you're testing is publicly accessible, we'd like to see the issue first-hand. Please place a copy of the test files into a .zip file and attach it. You can attach that file to a support ticket, which unlike this forum is confidential.

The Unable to locate element failure is a common automation challenge. See here for suggestions on how to resolve it. It sounds like Chrome is rendering the page DOM slightly differently, invalidating a specific element's Find Settings. You'll probably need to edit the find logic so it works in all browsers. See here for more information on browser inconsistencies.

All the best,
Anthony

Hello,

I'm opening a ticket with the information and the files generated. I have been trying to modify the way it locate the element in different ways, but nothing, it fails either in Chrome or Firefox. Only works in IE.

By  the way, In your text "See here for suggestions on how to resolve it", the link to the "here" is not working. Could you post again the URL to those suggestions.

Many thanks.
