Hi,

Is there a way to tell TestStudio to execute a test from an excel file?

For example, have a test that loops through rows in Excel, then reads data from some columns, and if the conditions are met the test reads the name of another test from the Excel sheet, then executes that test?

Thanks in advance for your advice and input.

Sincerely,

Jon

Hello Jon,

You can execute Test Studio tests or test list by triggering events in an Excel spreadsheet. Please check this article for more information.

Hope this helps.

Thanks, that's pretty useful, however we ended up solving the problem by creating a code step, within a data-bound test, that executes a test name based upon the name in the Excel file.  Anyway, the Excel-TestName solution was more what we were looking for, but I really appreciate the answer you've provided!
