I really hate the fact that IF I do a "run to here" ( see http://bit.ly/13TCXdK )
recording starts  upon finishing steps.  I am learning to turn it off with <printscreen>
right away as I keep getting burned by it recording steps I dont want,  BUT
I think an ounce of prevention would be very nice and keep me bit more sane.
so, is there any way to set whether it is enabled or disabled?
If not, I think it would be a great enhancement

(as a side note  - wouldn't it be cool if newly recorded steps added to an existing saved steps be color coded  or have state for each step with a flag for  new / edited  / saved)

Hello Ted,

Please excuse me for the delayed reply. Thank you for your feedback. It seems we have this feature request already logged in. You can keep track and vote for it using this public URL. However I am not able to commit with an ETA on when this can be implemented.
The only option on how to overcome this is to pause recording right after you execute the Run To Here, this way you will not have newly created steps messing with the existing ones. However if you decide you can always enable the recording and start recording new steps. You can also recognize easily the newly added steps since they have an icon in front when looking in the steps pane. Here is a short video demonstrating this.

Thank you for your understanding and patience regarding this matter.

Kind regards,

Thanks  for the  PIT link  - I just voted (when do the poles close and my candidate win :-)
 Appreciate the quick video-
I often clear the test results - so lose the ability to see where there are new steps
but that is easily solved by me  not  clearing the results :-)   for a small  but useful trick.

I am all set , thanks again !
