Hey,

I'm trying to play my recordings back in chrome, and i noticed this bug.
Sometimes (Just sometimes) even if I have the latest extension installed and enabled, chrome says that I need to install the playback extension and it doesn't run the test. I'm wondering if there is a simple solution to this. I've found that if you disable and enable the extension it works for a little while. (Unchecking and checking the box again)

These are my extension versions:
Telerik Test Studio Chrome Playback 2014.2.618.1
Telerik Test Studio Chrome Explore 2014.1.410.2
Telerik Test Studio Chrome Recorder 2014.2.618.1

Everyting works in both IE and FireFox.

Does someone else have the same problem?

Thanks in advance! :)

Hello Oliver,

I am sorry to hear you are experiencing this behavior. We have seen this behavior if a Chrome process is left behind after closing the Chrome browser. Use Task Manager to kill any stray, left behind, Chrome process. Then try again.

Please give it a try and let me know if this helps.

This is probably my own fault too, i discovered that it only happens if i have another chrome window open at the same time, im my case the recorder.

Hello Oliver,

I am glad we figured this out. When executing tests via Chrome simply make sure that there are no opened browser instances.

Thank you for your understanding.
