Change "Record" browser in QA

Hello,

how can I change the recording browser from Internet Explorer to Mozilla Firefox. I have set up Mozilla as my default browser and I have checked the test to run using it in the execution tab but when I try to record a test, a window of IE opens.

Hello Labrini,

Currently you are only able to record in IE. We have had a few customers request this and it is definitely something we would like to implement in the future, but it is not currently a feature of WebUI.

Hi,

I'm wondering if recording with FF or Chrome is supported yet.

I can't get Test Studio to use any other browser apart from IE to record a web test. Would appreciate a prompt response.

Hello Ashish,

Currently you can only record in Internet Explorer. The good news however is that we will implement a brand new recorder in our next official release, which is expected early June. With the new recorder you will be able to record a test in all browsers(IE, Chrome, Firefox and Safari).

Hello Viral,

This feature will be available in our next major release R1 2013 (expected near the end of July).
With your version of Test Studio you can record only in Internet Explorer and execute the tests in IE, Chrome, Firefox and Safari browsers.
