I am running IIS 6 on Windows 2003 Server. I am attempting to integrate the new "Prometheus" controls into a page that currently uses the Q3 2007 controls. Using the older controls, the spell checking works fine. Using Prometheus, it does not.

I have gone through the documentation several times and can find nothing in the configuration that I've missed. I've also cut-and-pasted the sample from the following link and it doesn't work:
http://www.telerik.com/community/forums/thread/b311D-bcdthd.aspx

Here are the steps I've gone through to set this up:
1.) Installed Prometheus suite and copied Telerik.Web.UI.dll to my website's \bin directory.
2.) Installed the appropriate dictionary files in \App_Data
3.) Installed the appropriate resource files in \App_GlobalResources
4.) I'm using the same ToolsFile.xml file as before which declares the SpellCheck tool like so:
<tools name="MainToolbar" isribbon="false" dockable="true">
    <tool name="AjaxSpellCheck"/><!-- also tried "SpellCheck" as a value here -->
    <!-- more tools -->
</tools>

5.) Placed the following entries in <httpHandlers> portion of the web.config:
<add path="Telerik.Web.UI.DialogHandler.aspx" verb="*" type="Telerik.Web.UI.DialogHandler, Telerik.Web.UI" />
<add path="Telerik.Web.UI.SpellCheckHandler.axd" verb="*" type="Telerik.Web.UI.SpellCheckHandler, Telerik.Web.UI" />
I have removed the old declaration to use RadSpell.Net2 for spell-checking.

6.) In my page, I have registered the control like so:
<%@ Register TagPrefix="telerik" Namespace="Telerik.Web.UI" Assembly="Telerik.Web.UI" %>

7.) Finally, here's the markup from my aspx page showing how I've declared the control:
<telerik:RadEditor runat="server" ID="RadEditor1" Skin="Office2007" ToolsFile="~/RadControls/Editor/Tools/ToolsFile.xml">
    <Languages>
        <telerik:SpellCheckerLanguage Code="en-US" Title="English" />
    </Languages>
</telerik:RadEditor>

I'm using IE 7. When the page loads, the editor is there and works fine for entering text. When I misspell a word and click the "SpellCheck" icon, I get a drop-down showing me "English" as an option. I click on "English" and get the following Javascript error:

Line: 9546
Char: 1
Object doesn't support this property or method.

If I remove the <Language> node from the RadEditor declaration and click the SpellCheck icon, I get the same behavior without the language dropdown.

What in the heck am I missing?

Thanks,
Trevor

Hello,

Description: there is a splitter on the form with tree view in the left pane and grid view in the right. Clicking the node in the tree view updates the grid view.

Problem: when tree view node are clicked quickly, the following error occurs:

Sys.WebForms.PageRequestManagerServerErrorException: Invalid JSON primitive: undefined.

Disabling the form and controls during the request does not seem to help.

If anybody could help, I would very much appreciate!

PS I could attach a sample project, but I cannot find how to do this.

This event is producing a value of "undefined" when the get_newTime() function is called.

ie.

function ResizeAppointment(sender, args)
{
    var e = args.get_newTime();
}

I have a scrolling grid with the first column frozen, like this:

<

radG:RadGrid ID="RadGrid1" runat="server" Skin="GHNSkin" OnNeedDataSource= "RadGrid1_NeedDataSource" AllowPaging="True" AllowSorting="True" ShowFooter="True" AllowFilteringByColumn="True" Width="990px" OnItemDataBound="RadGrid1_ItemDataBound" OnItemCreated="radGrd_ItemCreated" PagerStyle-AlwaysVisible="true" >

<ClientSettings>
<Scrolling AllowScroll="True" UseStaticHeaders="True" FrozenColumnsCount="1"></Scrolling>
</ClientSettings>

I've found that using IE 7.0, if I click the Restore button (between the window minimize and close buttons), the scrollbar vanishes (along with the functionality). Clicking the restore button again does not fix the problem.

Suggestions?

We have been implementing the Web20 skin for all of our Radcontrols in our project.  The Radcombobox seems to have some HUGE font for the selected item with this skin.  I was wondering how I can convert the selected item back down to a normal size so that it seems more inline with the other controls?

Hi,

I want to have "ClickToOpen" Menu that i created after setting the property "ClickToOpen=true" in aspx page. Finally my aim is to open all menu item on click not on mouseover. Currently this feature is applicable on first click attempt. Example: If i am clicking on first menu item this will get unfold but at the same without clicking anywhere if i mousemove in second item, the mouseover item will also get unfold. So i want exclusive clicktoopen property so that Items will be open on click not on mouseover.

Even in Teleriks example
http://www.telerik.com/DEMOS/ASPNET/Prometheus/Menu/Examples/Functionality/ClickToOpen/DefaultCS.aspx

First attempt would be click then same time mouseover will unfold second menuitem. but it should be open on click in my requirement.

Hi!

I'm using version 2008:1:415:35 of Telerik controls.

I've created combobox and specified both Width and DropDownWidth.

addRadComboBox.DropDownWidth = 200;
addRadComboBox.Width = 50;

In CSS I want to hide horizontal scrolling of the list of dropdown items, so I changed the style
.RadComboBoxDropDown_Default .rcbScroll
{
    overflow-y:auto;
    overflow-x:hidden;
}

But the horizontal scroll is still shown (even if I set DropDownWidth to the value which is much wider that the widest element in list).

The most interesting thing is that if I'm not specifing DropDownWidth property, everything works fine and there is no horizontal scroll.

What should I do to get rid of this horizontal scroll?

Thanks,
Alexander

I have the following code

    tool.Href = "<img src="http://localhost/ggbmoon10.jpg" width=165 border=0>"
    tool.Title = '';
    tool.Target = "_self";
    tool.Text = "ImageLink"

    editor.Fire
(RadEditorNamespace.RADCOMMAND_INSERT_CUSTOM_LINK, tool);

In IE when I select an image try to insert link using the above code.  It is losing the selection and inserting a new link .... in FF it is working fine Any ideas.

Thanks

Hi,

I am facing a problem in html representation of text in rad editor.

If I write word 'test' and changed its font face to verdana, then HTML getting displayed is '<font face=Verdana>Test</font>'.

But in case I choose font face as Times New Roman, it shows HTML as 'test'.

I need html to be in proper format for further processing.

Is it possible to remove 'Times new roman' from dropdown? If yes then how?

Please suggest.

Thanks & Regards,
Jyoti
