[Solved] Expanding collapsed groups expands too much

I stumbled upon this problem and verified it on at least one demo on the telerik page:

If I create a two level grouping, collapse the inner group, then the outer group, when I expand the outer group, the inner group still looks like it is collapsed (it shows the collapsed image), but its contents is shown as if it was expanded.

When I click the expand/collapse (now in collapsed mode) icon to collapse the shown rows, the expand/collapse icon switches to the expanded image, and the rows remain in place. When I click again, it works as expected - the group collapses.

has this behavior.

It looks like it's only a problem when using client-side expand/collapse.

Hi Arne,

Indeed, this is a known problem and is logged into our system. Your second finding is correct as well - it is only caused when using client side group load mode. Our developers are aware of this issue, and will soon address it. I hope that a solution will be available soon.
