Allow editing/disable dragging?
I am developing a module for our company intranet (using DotNetNuke) -- actually have already created the module, but porting it to use RadScheduler instead of the way I used to do it, and have a couple things I'd like to accomplish, but not really sure if it is possible.

I want to enable editing (based on security roles, that is easy enough, just check security and set the "AllowEdit", "AllowInsert" and "AllowDelete" properties based on security), but in all cases disallow dragging the event to a different day or in the deeper views dragging the start/end time around on the event.  Is that possible to do in general or would I have to "trick" it by disabling edits in all cases, and then use the OnClientDoubleClick to achieve my "edit" (since I am opening it in a RadWindow because I need advanced editing capabilities anyway)?

Would love the "best practices" solution on this one.  I have some other questions as well, but in the interest of keeping the threads specific, I'll start a new thread with my other questions.

**EDIT** for now I think I'll just disable editing since that will prevent dragging, and then use the OnClientDoubleClick to get me the eventdetails page (from where the user, if they have the appropriate permissions, can click to "edit" the event).  Still look forward to "best practices" on this.

[Solved] CheckBox Selection Retrieveal
Dear Friends,

I have GridClientSelectColumn in a Hierarchy Grid (Master & Details) and I have added a Custom Command "Create SFO" and handling the command inside RadGrid1_ItemCommand with e.CommandName.

Pls advice how to Read the Rows in the Details Grid based on the GridClientSelectColumn when i click custom command ?

Options for Popup window
Hello,

I have been using the Ajaxtoolkit popup and the update panel until now. I am now beginning to use Telerik controls and so far am not too fond of the Telerik Window as compared to the Ajax popup extender.

All I want to do is show some details of a grid in a popup window. The content in the popup will have some controls that the user will postback. I want to avoid having to load another page in the pop as the Telerik Window seems to require.

What are my options?
Can you suggest some examples with code?

I also cannot get the textbox filter to work properly.

how can i have mulitiple check boxes bound to an access db  in one colomun in edit mode and be able to check mulipules and when the update/insert is complete
only see thypes that were selected in edit mode seperated by a comma?

and i only want to be in edit mde when the user selects edit how do i fix this with automatic operations....?

Problem on pasting MS Word Document
Hi.
I´m trying to paste a document from MS Word window in RadEditor control but it´s not pasting the images and basic shapes (circles, squares, etc) from the document.
Is there another way to add an image to the control without having to specify an url in the html code? Something like: serializing the image and embedding it in the code!

RadTreeView control's scrollbar is not working in safari
Hi,

I am using RadTreeView control in my application working fine in internet explorer. when i use safari browser(version 3.1.1(525.17)), RadTreeview control scroll bar is not working. Especially when the tree contians more than 25 node the scroll bar is disappeared. Even horizontal scroll bar is working fine,vertical scrollbars is not working.

AllowMultiRowSelection style
Hi,

I cannot seem to find the style for the "square" that comes up when you try to do a multi select in a radgrid.
I'm using the black theme, so the blue "square" isn't that visible.
Any good ideas?

I am using this example and have a checkboxlist in the tooltip . Is there a way I can access the value of the checkboxlist from my main aspx file? I have to save that checkbox value with AJAX without using any submit button in the tooltip ascx page.

How to get the number of rows in the Detailtable's ItemDataBound
I have a two level hierachie grid and in the second level I would like to add a up and down button to move item up and down.

To hide the down button, I use .visible = e.item.itemindex > 0 and it works fine

But to hide the up button, I need to know the total number of this second level instance. I used the following, but I am not sure if it is right to do this way as I could't find any other way. Kindly confirm and tell me the better way of archieving this.
