I am having a little trouble with this one. I have a fields in our radgrid that is an id (int) which needs to be looked up for the text description.  I thought I could add a gridDrowndown control and bind it to display the text part in the grid row (dont need it for editing).  But it appears if i am correct that the gridDropDowncolumn is for when the grid is in edit mode only?

So how do i do lookup values for the grid display?

OK, heres the deal... We are using SharePoint as a Web Content Management System.... So we have 1 master page with a few different Page Layouts created... We are using the Telerik Lite Editor... I have dissalowed the use of different font colors, font sizes, etc for our main system...

Now we have a request to have a different design (different master page), and in this I would like to give the users a little more flexibility... I dont mind if they use different fonts, colors, etc...

Both sites will be under the same domain... different subsites...

So basically my question is... Can I have the Telerik Lite Editor installed to handle one subsite to not allow the user to choose fonts, etc... and then in a different subsite allow the user to control fonts??

Let me know if this is not clear and you need more clarification...

Hi all,
I am new to the telerik suite of controls, and so far quite impressed after working with Ajax asp.net programming for a few years now (MS or Anthem mostly).
I am in design of a multiple active page internet customer portal (login/order creation/order status/product browser/profile..messages), hence requirement for a much better site style out of the box (I do not program CSS or JS or even muck about with HTML much) .
What I would normally do is design each 'active page' as a panel all in one .aspx, and switch the visibility on/off for each panel, but this site i'm estimating to be a little heavier in the amount of rendered html (+much more graphics)  in total for one page, and the code behind will get a bit messy for the amount of server side functions that will be required.
My basic reasoning for this 'style' is that i am normally low on graphics (intranet style business applications) and I like to give a 'no page refresh ever' scenario (i.e never real postbacks, always callbacks).
This time I think my approach is going to have to be different, so I wanted to gather a little opinion from you all of a basic approach that might be reasonable given my intense dislike of page refreshing, but keep my code base and user experience expectations intact.
Should I consider master/content style (can this be done without full page refresh between each content page switch?), or something else that I havn't thought of or seen yet?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Kevin.

I want to set benchmarks in a stacked bar charts for each indivisual bar. I want to paint the bar whose Y value is below benchmark with one color and the portion between benchmark and the bar's Y Value with another color. Similarly the bars whose YValue exceeds benchmark value I want to paint the portion of the bar upto the benchmark with one color and another portion which exceeds the benchmark with different color. How can I achive this functionality?

I have an user control with a Grid and TooltipManager inside UpdatePanel. I add TargetControls on ItemDataBound of RadGrid and handle AjaxUpdate of the TooltipManager. TooltipManager works fine but before any Ajax Request to the Grid. Once I click "Refresh" command item (that fires RebindGrid) or on another external client-side AjaxRequest() call, I don't get the tooltip.

Here is the code

I just downloaded and implemented the recently released build of Prometheus.  The tooltip however does not seem to render properly (skin and position) in Firefox OR Safari.  It works fine in IE7.

Please go here for an example:
http://www.printrunner.com/business-cards.aspx

Mouse over the blue question marks on the right side of the screen.  A tooltip with the "Telerik" skin should appear.  Compare Firefox to IE7.

The tooltips are dynamically created using a loop with the following code for each tooltip:

            Dim ToolTip As New RadToolTip
            ToolTip.IsClientID = True
            ToolTip.TargetControlID = "question" & lstData.ID
            ToolTip.Skin = "Telerik"
            ToolTip.ShowEvent = ToolTipShowEvent.OnMouseOver
            ToolTip.Text = sHTML
            ToolTip.RelativeTo = ToolTipRelativeDisplay.Element
            ToolTip.Position = ToolTipPosition.MiddleLeft
            ToolTip.ManualClose = False
            ToolTip.Width = 375
            ToolTip.AutoCloseDelay = 60000
            ToolTip.HideDelay = 500
            ToolTip.ShowDelay = 0

Hello,

Using the last version 1425, when exporting to excel I get in my excel file columns that are marked as Display=false in may .aspx declaration. This only for child tables related to the master table.
For the master table, the display=false columns are now correctly not exported.
Seems a bug ?

Thanks for help.

Hi,

we're experimenting with implicit localization of the grid from local resource files (generated by VS2008, with UICulture="auto" for the page) but that seems to break all the images in the grid - they no longer appear, regardless of the resource file in use. On the other hand, text labels are localized correctly.
The grid is set to use the built-in Vista skin (but we've reproduced the problem on a different machine using WebBlue).

As an example of resource key used, this is the one produced for "RadGrid1Resource1.MasterTableView.CommandItemSettings.AddNewRecordImageUrl" by Visual Studio:

mvwres://Telerik.Web.UI, Version=2007.3.1425.35, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=121fae78165ba3d4/Telerik.Web.UI.Skins.Vista.Grid.AddRecord.gif

Maybe I need to change something there?
Any help would be appreciated.

I have a RadTreeView control with  a RadTreeViewContextMenu control inside.  The server side callback for this menu should delete a node when the delete menu item is clicked.  I have tried both

selected.ParentNode.Nodes.Remove(selected);
and
selected.Remove();

inside of the OnContextMenuItemClick handler, but neither method removes the node on the client side.  Is there a correct way to remove nodes through a callback?

Thanks

We are in the process of updating our RadEditors to use the new Prometheus version.  While testing, we found an issue with inserting hyperlinks using Safari (Mac & PC).  When you insert a link (whether you highlight text or not), it gets inserted at the beginning of all the content.  If there is a workaround, please let me know.  Otherwise, I'll keep my eye out for a fix.
