Using a default grid, auto-generate columns - no changes to default, when I sort, the indicator icons flash and then disappear.   I have created completely new grids as well as converted old ones and the same thing happens no matter what I do. 

The sort does work - the icon showing what you have done just doesn't stick.

This problem did not exist with the RadControls_Prometheus_2007_3_1425. When I replaced the DLL with the latest RadControls_for_ASP.NET_AJAX_2008_1_415, then this problem showed up.

When a column is dragged into the grouping panel, and the group splitters appear, the text inside the group splitter seem to be top aligned, and it passes the top boundary of the splitter, and for the very first group splitter, the text is clipped from the top by the grid header.

In order to resolve this problem I did the following:

In RadGrid1_ItemDataBound and RadGrid1_ItemCreated events:

None of the above approaches solved the problem. If I change the height of the splitter, it works, but I cant seem to do anything with the text.

I cannot attach an image, but I would if I could to illustrate this problem.

I am using the RadPanelBar with the 2008 controls. I am using the Office2007 skin. I have changed the PanelBar.Office2007.css file to reduce the line height property to 20px on the .RadPanelBar_Office2007 .rpText class to make it smaller. However these changes are not being reflected on the page. If I inspect the loaded css when the page loads the old value is of 31px is still being used despite my changes. Any help?

I want to loop through all of the trees nodes, selecting a specific node, and then expand all parent nodes.

Ive been trying to use this code to do this.
Apparently this will only loop through the root nodes, witch i only have one of, please help me.

I've just updated an application to the new Prometheus release and have a problem.

I have a FormView containing a RadAjaxPanel. The first time I cause an event that should cause a callback, I get a full page postback and refresh.

When the page reloads, the css class applied to the RadAjaxPanel no longer seems to be in effect.

But subsequent events cause an Ajax callback as expected rather than the full postback that occurs the first time.

This problem didn't occur with the "classic" RadAjax.

I have a web page that lets users select items. To let the user do this, we have two grids, the left grid shows all the available items, and the right side grid shows selected rows. we have two buttons in between one to select and one to remove selected item. (Both the grids have similar columns)
on button click (Server side), we would like to get the left side selected rows (update the database) and then ADD it to the right side selected grid.  (we have problems of adding those selected rows to the other grid)

What is the best way to do this? I have found no simpler way of acheiving this yet. can you please advise...

One of the primary reasons I continue to avoid migrating to .NET from Classic ASP is the focus on visual design in .aspx pages. I develop systems more akin to Content Management Systems where every page is driven by database relationships meaning the visual layout is never predetermined.

While I have owned RadControls for nearly a year and have dabbled with it, there is no standard documentation on how to use the controls solely from code (in my case VB.NET). Is there a chance documentation could be updated or pages added to the support site that have examples of using the controls solely from the code side, where the .aspx is nearly empty?

Also, especially in the case of RadEditor, is there any other way to access the content other than rigid control names? When using JavaScript solutions like TinyMCE I can encode necessary database variables into the ID, but with control names, even using array creates the need for a round-trip to the database to walk the array and align the content with the necessary fields. This situation is another example of why .NET makes Web development more difficult in the .NET world than with Classic ASP. Is there a way to enumerate all of the RadEditors during a postback and walk each one to retrieve its ID?
