Is there a way to align the left side of the tooltip with the left side of the target element?   I'd the tooltip directly under the target element, with the same x starting position, (just like all the dropdowns in the radeditor toolbar )

Anyone know how to fix this?

Compiler Error Message: BC32206: Indirect reference is being made to assembly System.Web.Extensions version 3.5.0.0, which contains 'Telerik.Web.UI.RadEditor'. This Project references a prior version of System.Web.Extensions version 1.0.61025.0. To use 'Telerik.Web.UI.RadEditor', you must replace the reference to System.Web.Extensions with version 3.5.0.0 or higher.

Hello,

I am trying to bind a simple data source to a line series chart control, and I'm having a lot of difficulties getting the DateTime field to work.   The stored procedure is very simple and returns a DateTime column and an int column that I want to chart on the Y axis.

From what I can gather the chart control needs dates in the OLE Automation date/time format?  How do I do this for a data bound chart?  I found this example:
http://www.telerik.com/help/RadChart/v3_NET2/?chrtSetCustomXAxisYAxis%20items.html

but it only shows you how to do this programatically with fixed dates.  Is there anything I can do to convert the DateTime field in SQL in my stored procedure in a format that the chart control understands?

Thanks!

Hi.

I am just testing the new version of the Scheduler. I am using the vertical GroupingDirection to get the resources on the left, but in DayView I am seing the hours on the left side too repeating foreach resource. Is there any way to get the hours across the top and the resources across the left?

I also tried the new TimeLineView, but I don't know if I can get the desired behaviour with this view. I get the date in the header foreach slot.

Thank you,
Irina.

Hello,

I have a RadGrid with a custom edit form containing several RadComboBoxes.  One of these comboboxes filters the list contained in the other two - when the user selects from a list of countries, a combobox containing a list of states/provinces is filtered to contain only valid items for that country, and the same with a list of timezones.  My problem is that I cannot figure out how to get the two filtered lists to know the value of the parent combobox so that they can show the proper sub-set of values.  When a user is creating a new location, the two child comboboxes should be empty until the user selects a country, but on edit the two child comboboxes should display with all the filtered values and their previously entered value already selected.

I had this working nicely with server-side data binding, but ran into issues with setting the previously entered values.  So then I decided using declarative data binding would work better since it allows you to bind the data field in the .aspx file.  Now I can't figure out how to filter my child data sources.  The parent combobox is loading, but I don't know how to specify the parameter that should be passed to my select method in the two child datasources.

Thank you.

I'm using RadControls for ASP.NET AJAX released on 2008.APR.15, developing on Windows XP against SQL Server 2005 w/ Visual Studio 2005, while testing in IE 7 and FF 2.0.0.14

Skins and Scripts are manually registered and embedded resources are disabled.

I've got a RadCombobox Connected to a SQLDataSource which is populating (with list of States)  with no problems.  I've set watchs for the following properties for the RadComboBox:
SelectedValue
SelectedIndex
SelectedItem
Text

While debugging my project and setting a break point in it's SelectedIndexChanged even I noticed the following values present:

SelectedValue:    ""
SelectedIndex:    -1
SelectedItem:    null
Text:    "California"

The SelectedIndex Event is firing properly, The Text Value is being passed peoperly.  Where's my SelectedValue?

Side Note.  I'm trying to use it as a control parameter for another SQLDataSource.

Hi,
I am getting some strange behaviour when using the radtooltipmanager(LoadOnDemand), I have some text and an image which is displayed when clicking on certain products listed within a datalist. The issue comes in after clicking randomly on all the tooltips one after the other, all of a sudden the image displayed in the previous tooltip appears at the botom left of the browser window but its just a flash then it dissappears. The tooltip you are viewing then displays perfectly.

Help in this regard would be appreciated.

I'm running into a problem with the Q1 '08 build of the Editor specifically with the Image Manager.

The problem occurs when the Rad Editor is inside of an update panel and is initially not visible.  Then if it is made visible via a postback and then the image manager is clicked, the Image Manager doesn't get rendered properly.  Only bits and pieces of it show up and it is unusable.  If I take it out of the update panel all works fine.  Here is the basic test code:

Front-End:
<body>
    <form id="form1" runat="server">
        <asp:ScriptManager ID="scriptManager" EnablePartialRendering="true" runat="server" />
        <asp:UpdatePanel runat="server">
            <ContentTemplate>
                <asp:Button runat="server" OnClick="buttonclick" Text="Make Editor Visible" />
                <Telerik:RadEditor runat="server" ID="radEditor" Height="400px" EditModes="Design"
                    AutoResizeHeight="true" Skin="Web20">
                </Telerik:RadEditor>
            </ContentTemplate>
        </asp:UpdatePanel>
    </form>
</body>

Back End:

    protected void Page_Load(object sender, EventArgs e)
    {
        if(!IsPostBack)
        {
            radEditor.Visible = false;
        }
    }

    protected void buttonclick(object sender, EventArgs e)
    {
        radEditor.Visible = true;
    }

What's the workaround for this?

Hi all.  Is there a way with the Editor control to provide functionality to end-users such that they may embed application-relative URLs within the HTML?  For example, I'd like end-users to be able to have tags like the following:

<a href="~/SomePage.aspx">Some Page</a>
<img src="~/images/someImage.gif" />

To have such references render within the WYSIWYG editing mode would be ideal - is there a way to support that?  I am thinking that a custom filter could address the issue for Preview mode, but is there a way to handle this in the editing mode?

I have a SPWeb using both the MOSSRadEditor and RadHtmlField implementation and for some reason any iframe or script tag is stripped when publishing pages using the MOSSRadEditor, but not the RadHtmlField.

This is how they are implemented:

<radE:RadHtmlField runat="server" id="_migidBodyText" FieldName="MyFieldName" AllowSpecialTags="true">

<radE:MOSSRadEditor runat="server" id="HomeCellHtml" AllowScripts="true" UseEmbeddedScripts="true" />

and this is the property used in ConfigFile.xml:

<property name="AllowScripts">True</property>

The type of field "MyFieldName" is "Publishing HTML", which will accept iframe and script tags if you select "Save and Stop Editing" instead of checking in or publishing the page. But with the MOSSRadEditor nothing works. The RadHtmlField is used directly on the page layout, while the MOSSRadEditor is used on a user control, referenced by the page layout.

Am I missing something here? Why does this only work with the RadHtmlField and not the MOSSRadEditor?
