    Thank you Colorado and Arizona

[Cross Posted from skimedic.com] I was invited to speak in Colorado and Arizona for three user groups, and it was a great time! I kicked off the trip in Colorado Springs at the South Colorado .NET Users Group ran by Ben Hoelting, a fellow MVP and a friend of mine that also speaks at VSLive.  We had a great chat with an overview of Uncle Bob Martin’s SOLID Principles, and then spent the majority of the time discussion software patterns and where they would make sense in the real world. Next up saw North Colorado .NET Users Group, headed up by Jeff Certain, also...

With them you’ll be able to have restored items with different sizes without this causing the appearance of blank spaces between them.

    Introducing Breadcrumb for Silverlight

I’m happy to announce that with the Q2 2011 Beta we are releasing a new rad control – RadBreadcrumb. With the Q2 Beta the RadBreadcrumb will be available only for Silverlight and we will include a WPF version for the official Q2 2011 release.  The Breadcrumb control is a lot like the TreeView – you have a hierarchy through which you can freely navigate, but unlike the TreeView the breadcrumb is showing only the currently selected path in the hierarchy and have a couple of additional features like history and text mode. In this blog post I’ll try to explain you the...

Execute Your Tests in Firefox 5

What was wrong with the old Firefox versioning? Do they need just to follow someone else? Anyway, no matter what Mozilla (or anyone else) does, we at Telerik should be ready to meet the news. The latest internal build of our Automated Testing Tools solves the compatibility issues with Firefox 5 so tests are now played back there just fine. We will support Firefox 5 officially with the 2011 R1 Service Pack 2 due in a couple of weeks. Enjoy! -Konstantin

Metro UI for RadControls for Silverlight and WPF

Windows 8 will bring exciting times to all application developers, especially those who will invest in creating the immersive applications we all saw in that video . We loved the tiles and the clean modern look and how they integrate perfectly within the UI. And I am guessing a lot of software will transition to new ways. As always Telerik will ease this process by providing its Silverlight and WPF offering with Metro UI Theme and kick start your Windows 8 development. The theme is built from the ground-up to accommodate all the best practices in Metro UI applications. Line of Business Ready

Managing Multiple Concurrent Iterations (Sprints) with TeamPulse

Our projects should always strive for simplicity in the way they are structured and organized.  This is especially true for the organizations of release and iteration plans.  With iterative development using agile methodologies such as Scrum, we emphasize breaking down a project or a software release into time boxed iterations (called Sprints in Scrum).  It’s very important to note that iterations truly represent a “bucket” of work – the capacity of this bucket determined by the fixed length of the iteration (usually ranging from 1-4 weeks) and the amount of work your team can get done in that period of ...
