I am trying to edit a recurrence appointment programmly. But I can't make an exception recurrence appointment link to master appointment with " RecurrenceParentID " property, it can't bee saved when I insert the new created exception recurrence appointment. I have checked that the master's exception rule has been updated correctly and the new exception appointment's "RecurrenceParentID" property has been set correctly, but it can't bee saved to xml file ( I am using xml provider ). So please help me . Thank you very much .

Clear date

In your ASP.NET controls I could do something like

window.RadDatePicker1.Clear()

However with Prometheus this does not work.

Any ideas please ?

Problem with Dropdown menu positioning

The Editor does not display the drop down for any tool bar with a dro pdown menu in the correct position, this can actually be seen when using your online demo (http://www.telerik.com/DEMOS/ASPNET/Prometheus/Editor/Examples/EditorToolbars/DefaultCS.aspx) if you scroll down to the 3rd Editor and click on any of the drop down menus, the container for the menu items appears further up the screen.

I am using IE v7, and the same happens with FireFox 2.

Can't make linkbutton invisible

Hi, I'm using scheduler and I have placed a linkbutton within a div on the page to appear at the bottom of the scheduler. The aspx code for this is:

The event is fired and it falls into the appropriate case statement, and if I interrogate the linkbutton at runtime in debug mode it tells me the state of the linkbutton has changed appropriately. However when I do click on month view, although it does go through all the motions and appears to be correctly set as not visible, when the page renders the linkbutton still displays. Any ideas?

Accessing Values

I have a scheduler, which I bind to an object datasource. I want to change the color of the appointment based on a value in my object datasource. How can I reference this value for an appointment, as it's not one of the standard values you use for an appointment, it's a flag, which depending on the value will determine the color of the appointment.

Fundamentals required for RadWindow

I want to know what the basic controls that are required to have a RadWindow function as follows.

I have a button on the page that is clicked, which needs to call a method on this server. Depending on the result this method will then try to populate a label with some javascript to show the radwindow. After fiddling around with it, i either get the case where the label has its text property set but it does not appear in the page source after the post back, OR it does appear but i get a javascript error along the lines of "_1c has no proeprties" from this chunk of code( from firebug):

What are the basic requirements? I've got this working on some pages, but not on others, and I cant seem to figure out what im doing wrong. If you could point out what is required (e.g RadWindowManager, RadAjaxManager, ScriptManager, Label, asp:UpdatePanel, Button.AutoPostback set etc) so I can try rectify it
I'm new to this ajax thing and i cant seem to make it work consistently for me

I save the appointment data to database in AppointmentCommand() event. The code looks like:

Could not find ResourceType selected for grouping

I am building a Team Outlook Calendar from our AD/Exchange binding the scheduler control to a DataTable from codebehind. My ResourceType is bound to an XmlDataSource with the values of the team members. I am receiving and error on the Schedule.DataBind();

Could not find ResourceType selected for grouping. Please, check that the GroupBy attribute is properly set and a ResourceType with the same name exists.

RadDateInput: correct input-format

Dear reader,

I've noticed a difference between the Prometheus RadDateInput and the previous version. In the "old" date input, you could insert "1100" and that was understood by the control as "11:00". In the Prometheus-version, "1100" is an invalid input. Is there a reason for this? Is there a way for the input to recognize 4 numbers as a time? Can I do that by using my own Javascript for example? Users sometimes have to insert a lot of times, using the tab-key and the numeric keys on the keyboard is the fastest way to do that. Now, they have to use the ":" key too and that slows the process down a lot.

Customising the hyperlink manager

Hi,

Is it possible to modify the contents of the hyperlink manager? I am aware that we can add custom dialogs but we would like to add an extra tab within the hyperlink manager. The perfect scenario would be to be able to define a new tab and specify a control to render within it with a defined callback function. Is this possible to either request as a feature of the editor or have some custom way of achieving this?

Alternatively, in the old editor it was possible to modify the controls in question, will this be offered as an option within the prometheus version of the editor? This isnt as flexible as it requires modification when new version of the controls are released.
