I have problem with Ajaxifying Treeview. Scenario is like this --> When i click on Tree Node postback is happening.

I am using Treeview control(Prometheus ), Ajax Manager(Prometheus ) and RadGrid(2007 Q2 version), RadSplitter(2007 Q2 version) in single page.

To ajaxify i used below code 
RadTreeView tree1 = (RadTreeView)LEFT1.FindControl("RadTreeView1");
RadAjaxManager1.AjaxSettings.AddAjaxSetting(tree1, TextBox1);

As a separate project using above code , it is working fine. When i try to implement in my project postback is happening.

Hello

I have been trying to make .wsp install package from newest RadControls Prometheus. I did make working .wsp package from RadControls for asp.net using whitepaper and now I have been trying to make that package with new Prometheus dll's, but no luck. I am not sure what namespaces I should register as safe components and what dll's or other files I need to put into that .wsp package.

Could anyone that has made this .wsp, list out briefly what files and namespaces did you register into that manifest.xml and listed in ddf file ?

I tried following very basic scenario: I took telerik.web.ui.dll (that approx. 9 mb dll file from bin35), listed it in ddf file and registered telerik.web.ui namespace as safecontrol. Deployment works perfectly but when I try to add a web part into WSS 3.0 site, error comes up saying something about missing files (which means that .wsp lacks some needed files, I know that if I turn debug mode on, I get more sophisticated information about error but at this moment I can not turn that debugging on).

I need to admit that I could get this working if I could get that debug mode on but at this moment time is not on my side :(

Many thanks in advance to anyone that can give advices to this "problem".

Is it me, or is the ComboBox missing a "DropDownHeight" property?.... I may potentially have a lot of data to display in the fly out, and it would be nice if the control supported the ability to control the height.

Or, have I overlooked something?

RadAjax Prometheus does a full-page postback (not ajaxified) when the control is dynamically loaded in the page_load event. But this works in both the non-prometheus RadAjax version and when using the ASP.NET AJAX UpdatePanel.

A simple example ...

- create an ascx control (WebUserControl.ascx)
- add an ajax panel with some test action inside of it

- create an aspx page
- add a placeholder control called "ph"
- in page_load, add:
Control ctl = LoadControl("~/WebUserControl.ascx");
ph.Controls.Add(ctl);

You will see that the AJAX functionality is borked.

Next, replace the promethus ajax panel with a non-prometheus panel, or and ASP AJAX UpdatePanel, and you'll see that it works.

I have seen the example located here:

But, in the example, the ajax panel is location in the ASPX page and the user control is loaded inside of it. The problem I am describing happens when you include the AJAX panel *inside* of the user control.

Any suggestions?

I have a grid which is bound to a simple data table.  I set AllowAutomaticUpdates=True, EditMode=inplace, and AllowMultiRowSelection=True.  My first column is a checkbox column, but it's not editable.  How can I make the checkbox colum allow user's to change it's value.  I'm sure it's something simple.

i've searched the forums and it seems a few people are having problems with the context menu on the prometheus version of RadTreeView. I have downloaded the latest hotfix (forum: http://www.telerik.com/community/forums/thread/b311D-bbkeda.aspx) but it has not solved my problem. Basically, i have a data bound treeview with four context menus defined in the aspx. each context menu has an ID. in the code behind, i hook the NodeDataBound event and specify node.ContextMenuID but nothing happens when i right click in the browser. i also tried setting node.EnableContextMenu = True. Still nothing.

An online example would certainly help. The only example available uses the client side API for the most part.

First I would like to say that that integration with context menu looks very good.

In a Scheduler I have a custom attribute: Status.
I want ContextMenu to be shown only when Status ==1
I followed your online example and found the javasript function
appointmentContextMenu {
...
selectedAppointment = eventArgs.get_appointment();
}

So i have selectedAppointment, how can i read its custom attributes and instruct scheduler not to show the ContextMenu?

Hello, I am trying to get the RadColourPicker running on my webapge but with no luck. I am trying to use the example that you have posted here
 but the server-side click event simply isn't firing. Here's my code:

Any advise you can give would be much appreciated; Basically, I am trying to fire a server-side event when a colour is clicked, but this isn't happening.

I installed the 3.5 bin and .net 3.5 on my developement box, all is good.

When I installed .net 3.5 on our test server (windows 2003) and copied the telerik 3.5 bins over I get the parser error message: "Unknown server tag 'asp:ScriptManager'" error.

so I updated the web.config (per http://www.telerik.com/community/forums/thread/b311D-tkkmt.aspx)

with:

I'm guessing the web.config entry is different for 3.5 prometheus and that thread was related to an older version?
