Hi,

I have a problem when sorting template columns containing fields that are objects.

I have custom collection ContactList with ContactInfo objects. One of the property of ContactInfo is Owner which is an object of type OwnerType. This object has ToString() method so the column is filled with the data, so that is no problem. When I sort this column the grid just goes blank!

I would really appreciate help.

I am currently using the enable post back on the RadGrid along with the OnItemCommand event to fire an even when the users clicks a row.

This works just fine if a user only clicks or ctrl-clicks a row.  If they shift-click select or drag select then the even doesn't fire and I can't seem to find where there is an even that fires.

I'm sure there is someway to do this, seeing as the grid is changing, I just don't know how.

Thanks

Hi,
I need to be able to set the background colour of cells in a grid based on values of the field showing in that cell. Is this possible? And is the background colour preserved when exporting the grid to Excel or PDF?

Is it possible to sort group members? For example I have a grid grouped by "Country". Within a group is there a way I can sort a column, say, "Customer Name". The desired output would have the Customer Names sorted in each Country group.

Hello,

I'm attempting to update node title changes I make to a SQL database (using server side event OnNodeEdit) but I can't seem to get it working. If my node is called "New Node" and I hit F2 or dbl-click and change it to something else, when OnNodeEdit is called, it doesn't appear to detect the change, only the original name.

Here is a sample of my code:

public void OnTitleEdited(object sender, RadTreeNodeEventArgs e)
{

string nodeID = e.Node.Value.ToString();

string nodeTitle = e.Node.Text.ToString();
    ....
    ....
}

<

telerik:RadTreeView ID="RadTreeView1" runat="server" OnNodeEdit="OnTitleEdited">
</telerik:RadTreeView>

If I edit a node, nodeID correctly returns the value, but nodeTitle returns the text prior to making the change, not after the change has been made.

How can I detect when the node text has been changed so that I can record those changes to a database?

Thanks!!

Paul

Hi,

I am creating a Point type chart. I would like for my users to be able to click and drag the mouse on the chart to define a rectangle on the PlotArea. I then need a server side event to fire so I can determine which data points are within the rectangle and update my database accordingly. Can this be done? Any ideas on how it can be done?

I also want them to be able to click on individual data points and pop-up a window with information about that data point.

I realize that in the next release you are planning to add zooming. This might give an easy way to accomplish this - zoom in to the area you want and click a button to update all "visible" data points. But until then can anything be done with the current version?

Hello,

I am in the process of upgrading my controls to Prometheus.  I have a bit of an issue with the new UI when it comes to the Ajax Loading Panel for the new grid.

I found the example below on how to Ajaxify the grid:

<telerik:RadAjaxManager ID="RadAjaxManager1" runat="server">
       <AjaxSettings>
           <telerik:AjaxSetting AjaxControlID="RadGrid1">
               <UpdatedControls>
                   <telerik:AjaxUpdatedControl ControlID="RadGrid1" LoadingPanelID="RadAjaxLoadingPanel1"/>
               </UpdatedControls>
           </telerik:AjaxSetting>
       </AjaxSettings>
   </telerik:RadAjaxManager>
   <telerik:RadAjaxLoadingPanel ID="RadAjaxLoadingPanel1" runat="server" Height="75px" Width="75px" Transparency="25">
       <img alt="Loading..." src='<%= RadAjaxLoadingPanel.GetWebResourceUrl(Page, "Telerik.Web.UI.Skins.Default.Ajax.loading.gif") %>' style="border:0;" />
   </telerik:RadAjaxLoadingPanel>

It does work, but the UI is not like features in RadGrid.  The old settings for the grid like this:

EnableAJAX="True" EnableAJAXLoadingTemplate="True"
LoadingTemplateTransparency="20"

Made the update panel take over the entire grid not matter what size it was, it was just a much cleaner approach.  Is there a way to do that with this new grid?

TIA

At runtime, how do I query or log the version of RadControls that is installed and being used? Is there a version # for each type of control, or just one for Prometheus?

Thanks!

As part of our maintenance procedures we run patch builds on our sharepoint servers. These patches are re-running RadEditorMOSS.wsp, in case it's been upgraded to a new version. Unfortunately this fails because the solution exists.  Is there a way of doing this without retracting/redeploying?
