In a previous post I asked this question and I got a working response. I was able to use...

I am calling that script on a page load event and it works fine. This code, although it gives me an [object], does not give me the actual treeview object.

Set Selection Position

Hi

We can use the client side api to get the selection as follows:

var editor = $find("<%=RadEditor1.ClientID%>"); //get a reference to RadEditor client object

var theSelectionObject = editor.getSelection();

var theSelectedElement = theSelectionObject.getParentElement();

theSelectionObject.getHtml()

However is there a way we can set the selection range? ie set the start postion to start position + 1?

SingleExpandPath and OnClientNodeCollapsed

I am trying to use SingleExpandPath and OnClientNodeCollapsed on a Prometheus TreeView. When a node opens the OnClientNodeCollapsed is not firing on the node that is auto closed. Is there a way to have the SingleExpandPath functionality fire OnClientNodeCollapsed when it automatically closes a node?

Get reference to my provider

I've created a custom provider. In the load event of my form I'd like to get/set some various properties of it. How do I get a reference to my provider? RadScheduler.Provider isn't a reference to my control - I see there is a non-public property named _parent but I don't see any way of getting to it.

Ajax Between RadPanes

Sorry for reposting, but I did update this and it said to repost, not to update....

Going off an examples I've found in the forums, I'm having trouble getting the ajax to work correctly between two RadPanes. In the simple example where a button is clicked and the other RadPane is updated with the current time, the RadPane where the button is located continually appears to flicker/flash? Is this the correct behavior?

Client Side Issues

Having a bit of trouble accessing items client side after transitioning to the Prometheus version of the grid.

Before I could do this:

    function LookupGrid_OnRowOver(row) {
        this.Rows[row].Control.style.backgroundColor = '#CCCCCC';
    }

Now, using Prometheus I change to:

function LookupGrid_OnRowOver(sender, e) {

but I can't seem to access the ROW. The client side docs indicate that "sender" should be the DataItem - but it appears to be the grid itself.

Any advice?

How can I clear a datepicker value on client side by java script?

I have it Prometheus datepicker control in a form,ondateselected client side event I want to clear the datepicker and set the blank date.
In client side function I’m checking my date(which is in hidden field) based on that value I want to deside the clear or not .I completed my logic part in function,only I stuck to clear the datepicker with blank date or clear the datepicker textbox.

Help me out to clear the date (which property) I need set.

Sys.InvalidOperationException: Handler was not added through the Sys.UI.DomEvent.addHandler method

I originally reported this in a forum thread in the RadGrid category because the error message was the same. That thread seems to be dead though, and we are still having the problem.

The following exception is being thrown by the RadSplitter:

Microsoft JScript runtime error: Sys.InvalidOperationException:
Handler was not added through the Sys.UI.DomEvent.addHandler method.

by this:

var $removeHandler = Sys.UI.DomEvent.removeHandler = function Sys$UI$DomEvent$removeHandler(element, eventName, handler) {

where the element is:

RAD_SPLITTER_BAR_COLLAPSE_Forward_ctl00_ieContentPlaceHolder_ieSplitBar

on the Prometheus RadSplitter. It's trying to remove events that don't exist on the element. From the Immediate window:

?(typeof(element._events) !== 'object')
false

I have the RadSplitter on a web page displayed in a RadWindow popup. The exception is not thrown when launching the popup the first time. However, on the second and each subsequent time the popup is opened this gets thrown. It also gets thrown when I leave that parent page and browse to another page.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

medium trust problems

I am encountering some problems when the software is running on medium trust level. I set RestoreOriginalRenderDelegate="false" for my RadAjaxManager as well as RadAjaxPanel.

Specifically, the problems are:

RadScriptBlock does not work (no effect)
ResponseScript.Add ('some scripts') does not work (no effect)
client side call .ajaxRequest() does not work (causing full postback)

Please provide a solution for the above issues ASAP

By the way, does inheriting RadAjaxPage solve the problem? What if I use the RadAjax controls in my user controls? what do I have to inherit from for my user controls?

UpdateHistory and AjaxManager

How does the two work together? The Updatehistory makes use of the asp:UpdatePanel, but with AjaxManager there is no UpdatePanel involved.
