Hi,

Are we going to have this kind of stuff in the future?

I am not using their controls, but I am wondering if we will have performance improvements like this? It is quite significant and if I am not mistaken, ours is like the "technique 1" demo on their site (using update panel).

OnHierarchyExpanded Broken in Prometheus?

Hello All,
I have been through the documentation as more times then i can count at this point. I found a nice tutorial on using a new radwindow to provide a server side argument through query strings here. And I have also been using the Hierarchical functionality of RadGrid in Prometheus demonstrated here. In order to support a many to many relationship while using the Hierarchy Grid I am using the following code to overwrite the default Add New Record in the details table GridView.

Using this code I can effectively pop open a new window, however I am having the hardest time figuring out how to reference the parent_rows selected index value which I currently believe I need in order to get the parentsID value. I have tried many iterations of the following code

whatever is the required magic I can't seem to obtain the proper value from the productID column selected row. Eventually I abandoned this approach and started trying to use the client events internal to Parent RadGrid in order to store the value for later use.

this is when I started to lose my nerve as for some reason the OnHierarchyExpanding has stoped working in Promethues!? If I change the even to OnRowClick the event fires and I am able to get the row number that I need, however this event is not the OnHierarchyExpanding event which is the client side event that I need to make certain that I send the proper parentID to the new RadWindow. On top of all the different routes listed above (believe me each one actually in this form post represents about 42 different iterations) I also tried changing the HierachyLoadMode around in the details GridView but that didn't seem to make any difference. Does the matter in this case? Please help.... this is painful. Hope someone knows how to fix this. Thanks in advance for taking the time to read this.

Wow at the end of all this I reread your post on hierachies and discovered that my problem was not using the HierarchyLoadMode="Client" in both the MasterTableView and the details table GridView. Geez you guys are quick to respond, I got the answer before i even finshed my post. If you are experiencing similar frustrations check out the post here. Again the magic is in the HierarchyLoadMode="client" on both the MasterTableView AND the detailstables GridView

[Solved] two-way databind updates of objects inside formview wiith splitter

hi,

i am test-migrating our application to your controls when i noticed that all objects's value in the splitter-radpane are not passed on update command inside a formview. when i place all of those objects outside the splitter, everything works ok. please help.

Can RadToolTipManager show different tooltip title's for target controls?

I am using the RadToolTipManager to display tooltips for grid rows. the tooltip title is not same for all the rows.
If the RadToolTipManager.Title is set then tooltip title is same for all the target controls.
RadToolTipManager.TargetControls.Add() function takes only controlID and tootip.
no overloaded fucntion takes the tooltip tile.

How can RadToolTipManager show different tooltip title's for target controls?
I don't want to use ajax update panel callbacks for the same due to performance reasons.

Drag Zone for shifting other docks

I was wondering if there was a way to modify the area in which it will shift docks when you are moving one. It seems as though you have to move the one you are dragging almost completely below a dock before it highlights the position below it. I was hoping to be able to modify it so it shifts and highlights when you move more than half way below the dock you are hovering over.

problem loading tab controls in grdi edit mode

I have a user control with multiple tabs for the grid edit mode.
When i click on edit my tab controls take very long to load.

They are first displayed as text in different rows and after a few seconds they display as tabs.
Any adnice why this might be happening?

modal popup not disabling all frames on the page

Hi,

i am opening radwindow as a modal popup. i have two frames in this page.this radwindow is opened by a page on right side frame.this frame is disabled when the popup is opened. but the other frame which is on left side is still active and enabled. i would like to disable all the frames on this page when i open this modal popup. Could you please give me some suggestions as to how i can do this.

PostBack Event

Hi,

Is there a way to execute server code (C#) when a user (double) clicks on a appointment on the radscheduler?
BTW, the scheduler in this case is used to display data only (no edits, update, etc).
