Is there a way to put a seperator in the combobox drop down? I am using the latest version of asp.net ajax controls. For example I would like to show the drop down in three groupings like below:

group 1 item 1
group 1 item 2
--- seperator ---
group 2 item 1
group 2 item 2
--- seperator ---
group 3 item 1
group 3 item 2

[Solved] Expand All / Collapse All using Server-On-Demand

Hi

Is there a way to expand all the detail tables for a hierarchal grid that uses a server-on-demand approach?

If a grid uses "Client" I can get this working nicely, but I'm not sure how to approach this with server-on-demand.

Get source row of edited row

Hi,

I need to get the source row (a business object) of the gird row when I click on the Edit button.

I tired handling the gvSubscription_EditCommand event but the (e) parameter's e.Item.DataItem property was NULL.

Is there another way to get the object being edited in the grid when the EDIT button is clicked?

Hello,

I have a lot of javascript-functions in my code that work like this:

<telerik:RadScriptBlock ID="RadScriptBlock1" runat="server">
function foo(sender)
{
....
}
</telerik:RadScriptBlock>
I'm calling these functions this way:

<img name="foo" onclick="return foo('<%=me.ClientID %>');" />
This throws the infamous "Control Collection"-Error.

I dont't want to change all the function calls - this would require more than a week !

How can I use inline asp-tags in HTML-Controls ?

GridCheckBoxColumn - Check All

I have a GridCheckBoxColumn and I would like to add a "Check All" option to the page which would check all of the check boxes in a specific column. I would prefer add a button to the CommandItemTemplate and use the client-side API so that the user can use the feature to check all of the check boxes and then uncheck a few before submitting the page.

I have not been able to find any code like this in the forums or the demos & documentation so I am posting a new thread, but it seems like it must be a common request so please direct me to another thread if it has already been documented. Thanks!

Can I get the latest Asp.NET AJAX documentation, especially RadGrid. I don't want any documentation pertaining to 2007 year. Please give me documentation regarding Prometheus coding structure. Some of your telerik support team members are writing their response based upon 2007 year coding methods, WHY??

problem when using AjaxManager with Automatic Insert

I have a grid that is attached to an objectdatasource.

I have a dropdown column and an html column that get frozen when I use the AjaxManager and I hit the Add New Record button.

When I dont use the AjaxManager these columns works fine.

I'm not sure whats going on with this, am I doing something wrong?

I can still insert fine but since the controls are unusable and cant be changed I have to disable ajax...

How to check all checkboxes in a template column, client side?

I don't have a good enough understanding of the new client side API to figure out how to migrate my Javascript for the ASP.Net grid to the new AJAXK version.

I have a template column:

and previously this Javascript would select all the checkboxes:

(the CheckBoxChanged() function merely calls CheckAll() or UnCheckAll()) I can't use a select column, because selecting a row fires a different event. Like I said, I don't know enough yet about the client side API, and I'm pressed for time - how would I convert the above Javascript? Thanks.

User Control While Editing. Validators break the RadControls on Validation

Hi there.
We have a grid with a user control (ascx) for editing inserting. In the user control we are using custom validators and required field validators for RadDatePickers and RadComboBoxes. When these are fired on Submit the RadComboBox Drop Down Event stops working and the RadDatePicker throws an error on selecting a date and we need a work around please.
