We’re thrilled to tell you more about our latest updates to Telerik UI for ASP.NET AJAX!
It’s time for another release with new component, features and improvements for your favorite Web Forms applications—new DateRangePicker UI component, DataPicker improvements, Calendar enhancements, compatibility with Web Live Preview and more. Let’s take a tour together, going over our latest updates coming with the Telerik R3 2021 release.
The DateRangePicker UI component allows users to select a range of date values from a calendar or to manually type in their start and end dates. When you select the dates, a calendar displays in the form of a dropdown menu, with options for various views depending on your preferences.

The component allows you to select start and end dates, choose different calendar views, set options for minimum and maximum dates, add colors and desired date formats, disable dates, limit the range of selection, and more. It also has built-in keyboard navigation and accessibility, as well as a comprehensive client-side API, pre-built skin design options and events.
We’ve added the following Web Forms improvements to the DatePicker UI component for R3 2021:
The Calendar component is now even more intuitive, having better accessibility for easier navigation. We’ve added the AccessKey feature for the RadCalendar to allow you to easily move focus and navigate through the component using different keyboard shortcuts. In addition to the AccessKey feature, we’ve also improved the MultiView Calendar navigation—you can now effortlessly switch between views without the need for postback.
WLP (Web Live Preview) is a Visual Studio (VS) add-on that allows you to map your source code to the displayed HTML in the browser in real time. You may pick elements in your web app in the browser the same way you can in DevTools, and the IDE will instantly display you the code that was performed to build the element. In the same way, the web app will be updated immediately whenever you make changes to the source code in Visual Studio.
The goal for the tool is to improve accessibility (a theme that runs through Microsoft’s entire portfolio) and to adhere to modern web standards.
