AI-Powered Telerik UI for Blazor Editor for Smarter User Interactions

The Telerik UI for Blazor Editor now comes with built-in AI capabilities designed to elevate the user experience when interacting with the component. Take advantage of intelligent features like real-time grammar correction, content suggestions, autocompletion, and contextual insights—all powered by advanced machine learning models.

The Blazor Editor offers two flexible AI-assisted workflows: an AI Prompt component integration that appears in a side pane, and an Inline Prompt that shows up as a popup when text is selected. Both options support a range of built-in commands, such as rewriting text, correcting grammar, adjusting tone, translating content, and more.

Adaptive Toolbar for a More Flexible Blazor Grid

The Telerik UI for Blazor Grid now includes enhanced toolbar adaptability to ensure a seamless fit within any layout. When the available space is limited, the Grid can automatically adjust by hiding overflowing toolbar items in a dropdown or displaying them in a scrollable container.

Simply set the Adaptive Mode parameter to AdaptiveMode.Auto. You can further customize the toolbar behavior using the ScrollButtonsPosition and ScrollButtonsVisibility parameters within the Blazor Grid Toolbar settings to match your design and usability needs.

Telerik UI for Blazor MultiSelect: Custom Values and Summary Tag Template

The Telerik UI for Blazor MultiSelect component now offers greater flexibility and customization with two powerful new features:

• Custom Values: By setting AllowCustom to true, users can type and select values that aren't part of the predefined list. These custom values are added to the bound collection through two-way binding, enabling more dynamic and user-driven scenarios.
• Summary Tag Template: A new SummaryTagTemplate lets you fully control how the summary tag is displayed. This tag appears in Single Tag Mode or in Multiple Tag Mode when the number of selected items exceeds the MaxAllowedTags setting.

Improved File Handling with Telerik UI for Blazor Chunk Upload

The Telerik UI for Blazor Upload component now supports chunk upload, enabling more reliable handling of large files. With chunk upload, files are automatically split into smaller parts (chunks) and uploaded in multiple requests. This feature is ideal for scenarios where large file uploads are common or where consistent upload reliability is critical.

Configurable Opening Animations in Telerik UI for Blazor Window

The Telerik UI for Blazor Window component now supports customizable opening and closing animations, allowing you to deliver a more polished and engaging user experience. You can fine-tune the animation behavior using two new parameters:

• AnimationType: Choose from a set of predefined animation types to control how the window appears or disappears.
• AnimationDuration: Define the animation speed (in milliseconds) to match your app's interaction style.

• TabStrip: Added support for dynamic tabs by using active tab ID.

Document Processing Libraries (DPL) Enhancements in 2025 Q2

The Telerik Document Processing Libraries have been enhanced with powerful new capabilities for working with PDF files:

CSS Variables for Effortless Customization

With 2025 Q1 release, we’ve added support for CSS variables in Telerik UI for Blazor Charts, Arc, Circular and Linear gauges, making the customization effortless. Fine-tune colors, fonts, and sizes with a single variable, there is no need to modify the core code.

Enhanced UI Customization Tooling

Progress Page Templates and Building Blocks collection got enriched with 12 new Building Blocks such as Dashboard cards, AI App Welcome screen and AI-powered editor, alongside a new AI Usage Monitoring dashboard template.

Page Templates and Building Blocks are pre-configured with components embedded and come for free with the newly introduced subscription packages.

Telerik and Kendo UI License Key Files

A few years ago, we introduced a licensing mechanism for Kendo UI, and with Q1 2025, we are expanding the same straightforward and flexible licensing mechanism to the rest of the products in the portfolio. The goal is to provide a unified approach to licensing across Telerik and Kendo UI collection of libraries and tools, allowing teams to focus on innovation while maintaining compliance with ease. We believe that this change better serves the evolving needs of developers and organizations and will enable us to further improve the license management experience we provide.

The process is simple. You just need a License Key File. Learn more about the License Key Files in the dedicated documentation.

More Updates and Enhancements in Telerik UI for Blazor 2025 Q1

• Adaptive mode for flawless user experience on all screen sizes is added to Telerik UI for Blazor ColorPicker and ToolBar.
• Telerik UI for Blazor ColorGradient, ColorPalette and FlatColorPicker now support a size parameter.
• InputMode parameter is added to multiple Telerik UI for Blazor components, including AutoComplete, ComboBox, DateInput, DatePicker, DateRangePicker, DateTimePicker, TimePicker, MultiColumnComboBox, MultiSelect, TextBox, NumericTextBox.
• Telerik UI for Blazor TabStrip is enhanced with multiple features, including support for tabs swipe scroll on mobile devices, sizing options and control over the visibility and the position of the scroll buttons.

Document Processing Libraries (DPL) Enhancements in 2025 Q1

With 2025 Q1 release, we’ve introduced a major enhancement to the PdfProcessing library by adding support for Optical Character Recognition (OCR). It enables conversion of images of typed, handwritten, or printed text into machine-encoded text from a scanned document.  

Several other improvements in the PdfProcessing library accompany the OCR update. These include support for adding barcodes to a PDF document, option for setting height to table rows, API that allows optimization and reduction of the size of existing PDF files and so much more.
