Problem upgrading a site to use Rad controls

I am trying to upgrade a site built with asp.net 2.0 to 3.5 and to use Telerik Rad
components but running into strange problems:

1 ) I built a simple grid using sql server as data source, with auto insert, update
and delete enabled
When I clik to add a new record, the default form opens, I add data and click
Insert. Nothing happens. It does not close, and nothing is added. Cancel closes the form

2 ) A clue might be that on a simple test form the validation controls don't
work either, in that they fire if the input is not valid, but the
form gets posted back anyway. The validation controls do not prevent it.
(Button is set to cause validation)

I have done many grids and forms and never seen this problem.

I wonder if it is because the site was originally developed on iis5, published to
iis6 on remote server, and now the development server is iis7 (vista)

grind in multipage SaveScrollPosition is not working when i clicked another tab

Hi. I put one grid on multipage . And I set SaveScrollPosition property to true to save scroll position. But If i clicked another tab and click the tab contains grid. Grid's Scroll position goes back to top position even if i scrolled down to bottom of vertical scroll bar.
Please Let me know if i got wrong direction to use radtab strip. I am totally novice using asp.net ajax controls.

PS : In Addition , pageviewcreated event never fire though i put onpageviewcreated="RadMultiPage1_PageViewCreated1" on code
in RadMultiPage

popup edit form in grid

I have 2 datetime columns (start_date,finish_date) in the grid.
in edit form when I choose datepicker of start_date column it works ,but datepicker of finish_date column is not.
please any help.

any way I solved this by creating external form.but telerik should solve such things because we choose telerik components to do our solutions quickly.

RadEditor control cannot work in firefox and chrome

Hello,
I am using RadEditor control for formatting text and insert value into table. That is work perfectly into IE but when i used firefox and google chrome at that time i get old value instead of new value from radeditor content User RadEditor1.Content this statemaent for getting new value from radeditor.
I am using 2009, 3, 1103, 35 version telerik liabrary

Group by Date/subgroup by hour

Hi,

We're looking to show a 'weekly timeline view' for a customer, which involves showing a number of jobs thought the day over the week, e.g.

Is it possible to display the timeline header such that the hours are grouped into days in the week, e.g. two header rows - the first showing day, the next showing hours in the day.

I've attached an example of my current progress... just need to stop displaying the date in each column header and have that grouped over the 24 hours...

Can you show me how to achieve the required grouping?

NestedView Data binding

Hi
I have one doubt in how to bind Netedview template grid data programatically.
Suppose i have the cutomer grid,it has nested view grid called Order grid in one of my tab section. My question is how to bind the order data based on the customer id selected. i could do the same on ordinary hierarchial grid with the help of "RadGrid1_DetailTableDataBind",

is there any alternate event for binding the order table?

how can i load a .ascx file in my radpageview?..

im want to load a usercontrol on a specific radpageview only when i click the corrispondent tab or when i call the radpageview w/ a button..

im making a wizard project but my case is that my radstriptab are not created programmatically

Editor Lite - Hyperlinks with Bookmarks in MOSS lists

Is there any documentation on the features of the Rad Editor Lite 4.5.4 for MOSS ??

For example, I can't seem to find even basic descriptions of the functions for the Edit Hyperlink dialog. There is an option for a bookmark, but absolutly no indication of what this does. I've created several items using a MOSS announcements webpart, adding hyperlinks and including text for in fhe bookmark field. This appears to do absolutely nothing.

I need to be able to include a description of this function in some client documentation, so a swift response would be very much appreciated!

RadUpload sometimes not working

Hello,

I have a problem with RadUpload, In around 10 % cases it doesn't work: window "upload in progress" shows up but afterwards window with confirmation that the file has been uploaded doesn't show up and I don't receieve information on email that that file has been uploaded as I should receive, and the interesting thing is that the file actually gets uploaded on the server.

Stop Postback if the file extensions are not proper

Hi,

I want to stop the post back of the page on submit button if the file uploaded in the radUpload control does not match the currect extension and mime types specified at the client side using the AllowedFileExetensions and AllowedMimeTypes properties.

How do i go about doing that??
