Hello,

I wonder if it's possible to launch the edit/insert form (after double-clicking on the scheduler) in a new form. The default behavior shows it in the same form after a psot-back, and this creates problems with our implementation of AJAX.

Any help would be appreciated.

Prevent postback on node expand

I have a radTreeView and a radGrid within a radSplitter.

I have set up radAjaxManager too.

I would like to allow my users to expand nodes without making it redraw the whole radGrid every time they expand a node in the radTreeView.

Is this possible? Am I doing something wrong?

Every time I click the + to expand a tree node it posts back to the server and redraws the radGrid. That's annoying. Can I prevent that?

DataGrid (1.1) to RadGrid

I'm working on a project that was recently converted from 1.1 to 2.0. We are now moving the latest ajax controls and trying to convert datagrids to radgrids with the least change in code possible.

I have a radgrid that uses inplace editing using EditItemTemplate definitions. All databinding is done in code-behind. (For the grid and dropdownboxes inside the edit template.)

Is there an easy way to get rid of the update/cancel links that show up in the inplace form so that my old buttons in the EditItemTemplate control the updating/cancelling of records? Right now I'm getting double buttons in my form & the telerik buttons don't trigger the code I'm needing.

I'm on a very short timeline and the application is riddled with grids that have EditItemTemplates. I need to make this change as quick as possible without rewriting a ton of code. Any suggestions are appreciated.

[Solved] Change RadTextBox Tooltip

Is there a way (I guess in the javascript file) to configure the Tooltip not to disappear after only a few seconds. In other words, I want the tooltip to display until the box is clicked on or the mouse is moved away. If I can, will you point me to the correct js file to modify.

Cutting off event name...

Hello:

I'm hoping someone can help me. I've been grooming the Schedular control to be used to view company events, such as training, and etc. for our clients. Unfortunately, I have noticed that in the month view, the name of the event is cut off, and the only way I can see the full even title is by hovering my mouse over it, which makes it come up as a tooltip. While this may be the standard for MS Outlook, it will not work on my company's site. I need to have the event names fully displayed. Is there a way to do this? I tried doing this using CSS, but could not. If such a thing is possible, can you provide an example?

FireFox Stop on ScriptResorce.axd file

Hey,

I used RadGrid "Prometheus" in my project with AJAX and When I debug my application I come across this error in firefox and it somewhere stuck on function Sys$CultureInfo$_getAbbrMonthIndex(value)
of ScriptResource.axd file and If i press countinue(F8) it go through
and unusual thing is that it works fine in Internet explorer.

RadAjaxPanel

I currently have a Gridview with checkboxes in each row and there is a button below the grid to export the checked items as a self-extracting *.exe file. This functionality was working fine...

I utilized the functionality in the 'First Look' example for my Gridview so whenever the paging buttons were used, the Loading image would appear etc. When I clicked the 'Export' button was clicked the grid would show the Loading image until the server request was finished and the following error would be displayed:

Sys.WebForms.PageRequestManagerParserErrorException: The message received from the server could not be parsed. Common causes for this error are when the response is modified by calls to Response.Write(), response filters, HttpModules, or server trace is enabled.

[Solved] List of items show up twice in ComboBox

Hi,

I am having trouble with a RadComboBox that is part of an edit form within a RadGrid. I am trying to bind a list of items that comes out of a data access layer, but before I bind, I want to add a "Please select a value"-type row as the first row. I have successfully done this with other forms in my application by first clearing the rows, adding the "please select" row, and then setting .AppendDataBoundItems = true, but I am having trouble this time. If I remove the two lines that create the new row and set .AppendDataBoundItems = true, the list of values is NOT doubled.

I am using a function to do this, since I have to do the same action on a number of identical comboboxes with individual labels. I have verified that my function is only being called once per combobox. Here is my code:
