Introducing the New Cross-project Dashboard - TeamPulse xView

As the TeamPulse product owner, I'm pleased to introduce our new HTML 5 based TeamPulse extension we call xView. Our goal for these features is to provide users with a single location to get a view of data across multiple projects. I'm fortunate to spend the majority of my time focusing on a single project, as do the members of my team, but I've been working in the application development industry long enough to know that this is not the case with many of our customers. These customers are often juggling multiple items in multiple projects and there are people ...

Editor’s Note, Telerik Newsletter, February 2012

Hello, all, and welcome to the February, 2012 edition of the Telerik newsletter! As the newest employee at Telerik, I’m still learning all of the good stuff we’re doing just in the area of developer tools. For example, the features in JustCode that fix up my using statements (Ctrl+Shift+U) and show me a type’s shape and implementation via the JustDecompile integration (F12) are now ingrained into my fingertips, but I just learned (JustLearned!) that if I want to get completions on types that aren’t even listed in my using statements, I can use Ctrl+Alt+Space and keep right on coding, which is one of a ton of new features in...

Wait no more - Telerik's ASP.NET AJAX Q1'12 release is here!

Congrats for the next official version of RadControls for ASP.NET AJAX! It is live and you can download it now. Or check the release notes and the live demos first. If you tried Telerik’s ASP.NET AJAX Q1 2012 Beta you are already familiar with most of the new stuff coming with the Q1 2012 release. Still, there are some more features that are worth highlighting: Column Reorder for RadTreeList – Having column reorder in addition to column resizing and show/hide as well as scrolling and keyboard navigation makes a full set of client-side features a bound control like a treelist needs. See Demos Comments for RadEditor – Though RadEditor...

Win a Limited Edition JustDecompile T-Shirt

It’s a well-known fact that Telerik T-shirts are highly coveted – almost as much as Telerik tools. So it was no surprise that when the JustDecompile developers showed up at a recent tech. event sporting super fly Decompiled Ninja T-shirts that requests for the t-shirts came flooding in. One day, we even recorded more requests for the T-shirts than for JustDecompile support! Until now, the T-shirts were not available to the public, but in recognition of the JustDecompile official version release, we will give away 50 Deco-Paks containing the limited edition JustDecompile T-shirt along with a bottle-opener, stress-ball and...

    Meet Telerik at TechDays Belgium

The first day of the TechDays conference in Belgium is behind us and Telerik made some nice impression on the crowd there. Lots of people came by our booth with different interests and inquiries. Some of them were active clients and just stopped by to say “Hi” and grab a .NET Ninja T-shirt or a ninja stress ball. Others were impressed to hear more about our agile project management tool – TeamPulse, the automated testing tool – Testing Studio, our productivity tools – JustCode and JustDecompile, and our HTML5, CSS3 and jQuery powered KendoUI suite. For those of you who couldn’t manage...

Pick your time with RadTimePicker for WinForms

Q1 2012 is knocking on the door and we are sure you want to grab it as soon as possible. Before the release itself is live, however, let us introduce yet another useful editor that will find place in your fill-in forms. This editor will allow you to pick the time from a convenient grid of hours and minutes. Reasonably, we called this control RadTimePicker. In addition to the grid, RadTimePicker will also expose a beautifully crafted analog watch that will serve as a time reference to the end-user. Moreover, RadTimePicker will support different cultures for its editor part, and you...

Formatting content with RadEditor for ASP.NET AJAX just became easier

One of the new features coming up in Q1 2012 for the RadEditor control is a new drop-down tool called "Format sets". We hope that this new editor command will make styling your content faster and easier. In its essence, the format sets drop-down combines the features of two existing editor tools - the paragraph styles and the apply CSS class and adds a new way to apply formatting to content.  The new tool will help you immensely if your site has a lot of CSS styles and it takes a long time to find the right one each time. It...
