I am thrilled to announce the immediate availability of UI for WinForms Q3 2014 packed and stacked with lots of great enhancements including three brand new controls! But before we dive deep I would like to say that none of it would be possible without your continuous help and feedback. This month we are happy to announce another great Telerik AppBuilder release! This release has a laser focus on developer productivity. The NASA Mars Exploration Rover had to complete its mission to Mars in 90 days. As part of that mission, a tool was created to capture all of the data and imagery, for use by future scientists and novices, alike. The initial 90 days came and went, and today—more than 10 years later—that same system has collected and harnessed countless operations, images and data points.
So how is all this data organized and maintained? Is it accessible to all of us, so we can see and feel what it’s like to be on Mars? But of course!
The last few months were pretty exciting times for the iOS developer. In June 2014 at WWDC Apple introduced a bunch of new great stuff including HealthKit, Xcode 6 with playground functionality, AppleWatch and a brand new programming language called Swift. June 2014 was also exciting for Telerik as we introduced the first official version of UI for iOS – our comprehensive suite of native iOS components. Back then we started with Chart and Calendar, two controls very suitable for a HealthKit app.
In Q3 we continue adding more feature and enhancements supporting your iOS development. Let‘s take a look at what’s new.
It has been some time since Microsoft announced officially the Roslyn project – the new .NET compiler for C# and VB.NET for the upcoming Visual Studio version. Roslyn is not just a compiler but also a platform that provides Visual Studio users with essential features that will speed up their work, e.g. real time code analysis, quick fixes, refactorings, navigations. At the same time it will be extendable to the point that users will have the ability to build the productivity tool for Visual Studio that best meets their needs.
