Microsoft released the updated Entity Framework 6 (EF6) framework in early 2013 to eager developers who wanted to use the newly open sourced data access library. At the time, Microsoft didn't provide support for the Entity Framework Data Source in ASP.NET. With the Q3’13 release, Telerik’s DataGrid control for ASP.NET AJAX supports the so called CheckList filtering type. This multi-select filtering allows users to click on a filter button for a given column and open a dropdown with checkboxes for all possible values that can be included or excluded from the filtered data.

Batch editing is a new type of inline editing which brings the editing experience of RadGrid closer to this of Excel. Upon a click/double-click (whatever the developer specifies), the user will be able to open the cell for editing and edit as many cells as they like. By hitting the Save button just once, all their changes will be preserved.
