Kendo UI is a client side HTML5 framework for building modern web and mobile applications. It is engineered for unmatched performance and minimal footprint. Kendo UI Logo Kendo UI Mobile delivers unique adaptive rendering to build hybrid mobile apps that automatically transform to the native look-and-feel of iOS, Android and BlackBerry from a single codebase.

Recently, it got an opportunity to say "Namaste" to Indian Developers in Hyderabad. Hyderabad User Group LogoA small team of few passionate people from Telerik went on an exciting journey to India to get to know the Indian developer community and shared information about Kendo UI at the local User Group.

MUGH stands for Microsoft User Group of Hyderabad – one of the most passionate developer community groups you could meet. The occasion that MUGH provided us was DevCon 2012. At DevCon, there were many and interesting topics, covering different fields of Microsoft technologies - so no matter what your exact technology field or professional experience, you could find and learn new and interesting things here! Over 150 attendees got to listen from the speakers on HTML5, MVC, XAML, ASP.NET, Async programming and SQL – pretty much all you could think a Microsoft developer will be interested in. At the user group, we met smart and passionate technology professionals who kept their great sense of humour despite serious work.

Abhishek Presenting at MUGHSvetlina Anati and Abhishek Kant introduced Kendo UI to the community. They covered the capabilities of the Kendo UI like the MVVM framework and hardware-accelerated data visualization widgets such as animated charts and graphs. They demonstrated the way to build Hybrid Mobile applications that adapt to the native look-and-feel of iOS, Android and BlackBerry with Kendo UI mobile.

Interacting with MUGH communitySeeing that people understand the value it adds to development process was a true pleasure for us. We spent time answering questions and discussing feedback until we really had to leave astonished that the time had passed very quickly!

What happens next:

If you are wondering if Kendo UI would be in your city sometime, the answer to that is yes. Various user groups across the country are organising events and Kendo would be a part of the it. We have received word from the following communities of their plans to host the Kendo sessions:

  1.  KolkataGeeks on May 26th 2012

  2. Delhi Tech Forum on July 14th 2012

Sharing our work with other professionals and feeling the appreciation for your work is what really inspires us to strive to do our best! Meeting with MUGH took our inspiration to the next level.
