Emulating Paging with RadGridView for WinForms and LINQ with 1 million records

Our customers who use the Telerik ASP.NET line of controls are used to having paging in their grids. This approach, however, is seldom used for WinForms applications, although there are cases when paging in WinForms grids is needed as well, especially when there are million records in the database (literally). You may have seen the blog post by Vladimir Enchev about implementing paging with RadGridView for WPF (if you have not, this is the right time to do so :)). A couple of days ago Mr. Enchev came by and said "You know guys, you could do the same thing with your WinForms...

Could a WinForms app get any slicker?

It's finally out! As promised, we compiled this cool demo that uses a very simple but slick carousel UI. Now you can just give it a spin! The download contains updated versions of several other Telerik Windows Forms demos that we have recently added to our portfolio, such as a RadGridView exporting demo, which features our great Telerik.Reporting solution: I'll be very glad to have your feedback on this. Have fun!...

RadControls for WinForms gaining more speed

…Or how you should manage predefined themes in Q2 2008 As mentioned previously, RadControls for WinForms is the only WinForms suite which provides WPF-like effects on the classic Windows Forms platform. This has its challenges, because the Windows Forms platform was not build with such rich visualization in mind. For example, performance suffers if too many elements are animated on the form; the form/application start up time increases with too many visual elements on the form, etc. It is our job to try and find ways to keep these times at a minimum, but keep the same rich functionality and dazzling...

    Spinning RadCarousel

This is my first post, and by obligation I have to say a few words as an introduction. I’m Mihail Valkov, and I have been working on component development at Telerik for several years. I know my name comes a bit mouthful for many of you, so I'll just use Mike for short. I'm the guy behind some of our Windows Forms components and part of the team that created the great TPF. I am excited of the many good things to come in our WinForms offering in the near future and I am determined to keep you posted about...

RadCarousel for WinForms - Even More Bang for your Buck

Introducing the RadCarousel component into our suite can be compared to what the Big Bang was to the Universe in the early days. We’ve seen it all - from feature requests straight after its initial release, to statements it is worth as much as the entire suite. A few words of introduction - the RadCarousel animates a number of alternatives to choose from in a visually appealing way. RadCarousel animates the location, opacity and scale of its items. Items can be moved along any path described by a Bezier curve or an ellipse. These basic capabilities allow the control to be...
