Telerik UI for ASP.NET Core
As a leading provider for ASP.NET Core components, we are happy to announce that Telerik UI for ASP.NET Core is now compatible with the official release of .NET 5.0! Our goal is to stay aligned with all updates by Microsoft in the future as we have done so far.
Users can now edit their images directly in their browser without plugins and without leaving your app. Editing gives them access to commands for resizing, cropping, zooming and finally downloading the edited image.
The newly added Telerik UI for ASP.NET Core Wizard component is designed to make filling forms steps-by-step easy for the end user. With the Wizard, long processes can be broken down into several small steps, so users are presented with small, manageable chunks of information they need to process before moving to the next one. With built-in validation at each step and great flexibility (the content of each step can be a Form component or some other random HTML) it’s a joy to work with.
The Telerik UI for ASP.NET Core AppBar is the newest container added to our UI suite. It was built to help with the creation of footers and headers – you get the ability to dock the AppBar to either end of your page and add the relevant sections and items without any hassle on your side.
The Telerik UI for ASP.NET Core Loader control is a loading indicator for all of your slow background tasks. With the ability to pick between several animation styles, shapes and colors, you will easily produce a Loader suitable for your project.
Use the newly-released Telerik UI for ASP.NET Core TextArea component whenever the user has to enter text of average length such as a comment, an address or an open answer to a survey.
The Pager is the latest expansion of Telerik UI for ASP.NET Core suite and is a component for paging. Point it to a data source and it will add all the necessary UI elements to switch between different pages of the same content (e.g. a Telerik UI for ASP.NET Core ListView).
In R3 2020, we added Sticky Columns to the Telerik UI for ASP.NET Core Grid control which is another way to mark important columns. Columns marked as sticky will always be visible on the screen, regardless of where the use has already scrolled. This is of key importance to Grids with many columns.
The columns in the Telerik UI for ASP.NET Core Gantt control now give users access to several options like sorting and filtering. The full list of new options is available on our component page.
The columns in the Gantt control can now contain any content, including – images, links, multi-line descriptions and more.
With the Planned Vs. Actual summary, managers can check how accurate their plan is in reality. Visual indicators will display if and by how much the actual time spent deviates from the planned, expected delivery time.
Dragging and dropping TreeList items of the same level will now reorder them. Until recently, dragging and dropping was only available as a method of nesting items. Now you can both nest and reorder items and a visual indicator will show you which action you will take when you drop the node.
Thanks to R3 2020, items in the TreeList can also be selected. When the feature is enabled, users can click on checkboxes which will be automatically inserted for each row. Selected rows can then be processed programmatically.
With the new ASP.NET Core PivotGrid feature you can perform data sorting by row and column header values. This allows you to sort values on top-level dimension members, as well as drill-down dimension hierarchy, view sliced values and again sort on lower-level dimension members.
Display custom HTML in your Spreadsheet cells to present data in a way that makes the most sense to your users – whether you need to present an image or some custom control.
To make typing easier, with the R3 2020 release, the Numeric TextBox control will now auto-select all of its contents when it receives focus. This allows users to type faster as they no longer have to delete the old value prior to typing the new one.
The RadSpreadprocessing library can now import and export to and from XLS file format (the old Excel 97 - Excel 2003 binary file format). Check out the features help topic and learn how to work with XLS files in SpreadProcessing, using XlsFormatProvider.
A new Dashboard template has been added to the Create New Telerik Project Wizard in Visual Studio. Use it to kickstart your dashboard-like application with predefined layout and UI building blocks.
