Hi all,
Has something changed with the zindex of the menu recently? I'm finding that my menus seem to be over the top of any combo box dropdowns. They are also above the greying out of the window when a radwindow's modal status is true.
In the main it's not a problem but I'm tarting up the site a bit and as such the issue is starting to appear on more pages.
Regards,
Jon

Hello,
You can set the z-index property for the RadControls based on your requirement. The following KB Article shows how to do it.
Show RadWindow above RadMenu
-Shinu.

Hi Shinu,
Yeah that was it as I thoght. Big question is why all of a sudden do the radmenus have a higher zindex than drop downs and modal popup windows. Someone at Telerik must have changed it.
Cheers,
Jon

Hello Jon,
There is a very good help article on that topic. You can read it here: Controlling absolute positioning with z-index.

Kate,
That is very helpful thank you.
What would be a good extension to it is an explanation as to why some are higher than others. For example why is the menu (7000) and toolbar (9000) above the zindex of the modal mode for the radwindow. Speaking of which, interestingly my toolbar menu appears below the modal popup even though I didn't change the zindex on it. According to the page the toolbar should be 9000 vs the popup's 3000.

Hi Jon,
Thanks for your interest.
We take into account how most of our clients use Telerik's controls and then we try to comply with that. We also consider the fact that there are many different scenarios and we are not able to include all of them, therefore it is very important that clients have the possibility to change the z-index in accordance with the particular case. I hope this brings more light to your question.
