For the love of HTML5 and push for mobile compatibility please modify radnumerictextbox to allow for HTML 5 numeric input type. For years I have seen all the responses from Telerik to just use the RadTextBox. The radnumerictextbox has better support for numbers, yet lacks the most basic COOL feature for mobile. Inputtype = number.

And this has been your response for these last years. The response should be "absolutely, it makes sense to have datatype = number for a numeric control. Your organizational should redesign this control to be both web and mobile friendly as you are doing with other controls. This justification is the amount of forum questions asking this issue.

Hello,

Note that the html5 number input type provides less functionalities (formatting, separators, events ect) than the RadNumericTextBox control. Therefore redesigning of the control and make it input with number format will cut a lot of the functionalities that can be currently used. As I said our dev team is deeply investigating all the possibilities in this matter and will do their best to apply such functionality if possible.

For now you can set html5 input type to the RadTextBox and in case it is set to "Number" the required number keyboard will appear in mobile device.
