I have spent a few weeks looking at both KnockoutJS and BackboneJS and they both seem really good. To be honest I am probably leaning towards Backbone because of its in built routing and general structure which I find better than Knockout.

My one fear is I want to start using which ever I choose with Kendo UI and wondered if choosing Backbone is going to hamper me as it is not a MVVM library/framework

How much easier is the implementation of Kendo UI with Knockout than Backbone?

Thanks

hi,

I was using Telerik extensions for MVC. Now, I saw that Telerik migrated to Kendo UI. Also, I want to use AJAX controls because I need components which Kendo UI does not have in it such as Tag Cloud and other components. So, I want to know is there a way to integrate controls for AJAX with Kendo UI complete for MVC?

I work with a team that is in the requirements gathering stage of a web and mobile app.  We are really digging the KendoUI stuff, but we know that we will be working with Knockout.js 2.0 while developing the projects.

I saw the example on your site, but will you be adding more support for knockout?  Maybe some examples of datagrid binding, calendars, etc?

I'm sure there's a lot of folks that would love to see these 2 great libraries come together.

Thanks,
Phillip

Hi folks!

Can you provide information at the very beginning ot the each file, about dependencies for this file? I want to use requireJS in my application and I need to change every single file with my script to work with requireJS. What I need is something simillar to jQuery UI library:

/* Depends:
 *  jquery.ui.core.js
 *  jquery.ui.widget.js
*/

Thanks in advance!

Hello !

I released my Open Source Framework for ASP.net MVC and I integrated Kendo UI Web as a part of my framework because I tink it's a very good product.

Could you have a look in http://framework.innovacall.net and tell me if you feel Kendo UI is well integrated and combined with JQuery UI and ASP.net MVC 4.

Thank you

Laurent

Anybody using these two libraries together?
Kendo is now my primary, although Wijmo has some nice widgets that I could use and I'm missing them in Kendo. Wijmo is an extension of Jquery UI so everything should work fine right? Well seems not. I tested it out a bit, and if I have the latest version of wijmo and kendo refrenced on the same page and kendo gets broken. The exact situtation is I am using a grid bound to a view model with a remote datasource inside. the grid shows, but it's empty, and there is also a div that is suppose to be hidden until you select something inside the grid (it's bound via MVVM view: ), it gets shown from the start, although it should be hidden. So my guess is that the whole view model gets broken.

the error that the javascript console gives is:
Syntax error, unrecognized expression: .k-hierarchy-cell,.k-group-cell

Once I remove the Wijmo reference everything works fine.

Is it possible to use MooTools and KendoUI together.   I realize that KendoUi is based off jQuery and there are ways to get jQuery and MooTools to work together, but not sure how Kendo fits in with this.

Has anyone been able to get KendoUI and MooTools to work together successfully?   If so, can someone provide some sample code?
