Hi,
I have followed the instructions here:

http://www.telerik.com/help/aspnet/grid/grdloadingtemplate.html

to get the loading template to show on the initial load.

I followed the instructions for VB.NET and I can get the loading template to display on initial load, and then my grid shows. So far so good.

When I look closer at the grid I see my grid column titles are missing. The strange thing is if I change the page or expand a hierarchy the titles magically come back.

Anyone have any idea why my grid column titles don't show on the initial load ?

If I turn off my attempts to get the loading template to work, then my column titles are fine, however I would really like to be able to have that loading template work correctly on initial load.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thansk...Peter

Hi all,

I use the ajaxcontroltoolkit modalpopupextender to make a ajax popup window without refreshing the page. But when the modalpopup window is called from the options in the contextmenu (no matter it is a contextmenu in treeveiw or radgrid), the page refreshes.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Load control template file /_controltemplates/TelerikRadEditorHtml.ascx failed: Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.SharePoint.Publishing, Version=12.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=71e9bce111e9429c' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.

I have modified the Telerik skin and change the font to Calibri across the board.

I have a RadToolBar that has both standard buttons and drop down buttons on it. After the font change, the drop down buttons are slightly larger than the non-dropdown buttons and creates a "staggered" look which is very unprofessional looking. I have been playing with the CSS file all morning and I cannot find the element I need to change. It looks like I either need to get rid of some top padding for the drop down buttons OR add some padding to the non-drop down buttons, but I can only seem to affect both at the same time.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

I have a usercontrol with a text box and RADGrid.  Users can enter a search phrase in the text box, hitting a search button populates the grid with the results.
I want the user to be able to select a particular row (and its underlying datakey value) and force a postback to the page the control is in.  Then in the page, use the datakey value to query the database and populate the page with the results.

Im not 100% sure how do go about this.  Can I setup some javascript on each row in the grid, then when a row is selected use something like RadGrid1.AjaxRequest()   or would I have to use __doPostBack somewhere ?

any help would be greatly appreciated

The RadScheduler is bound in Day view with resources across the top and times down the left side.  When you drag an appointment from one resource and drop it onto another you expect that the AppointementUpdate's event arguments e.Appointment.Resources(0) and e.ModifiedAppointment.Resources(0) would be two different resources.  Instead these properties both reflect the resource that you are dragging the appointment to.

In other words, when handling the AppointmentUpdate event after dragging and dropping an appointment from one resource to another, there doesn't seem to be any way to tell where the appointment came from.

Is this by design or should the e.Appointment.Resources and e.ModifiedAppointment.Resources contain different values?

I am using RadMenu loaded dynamically if a user is in FF2 or lower or any IE version. None of these browsers can deal with my pure CSS hover based menu which works perfectly in a decent browser. The RadMenu is adding a huge 500k to my page.

Once the menu is loaded (and it loads ok with since the Q2 build fixed the locking up on first load / postback) performance in ok in FF2 and just about acceptable in IE.

What I would like to do is make sure that after the menu is loaded for the first time the browsers are caching as much as possible. There is very little in the help and online about optimising RadMenu apart from using web service and turning off viewstate.

The html for the menu is ugly, but I know we are stuck with that, all the javascript that gets rendered at the bottom of the page that drives the menu - how can I make sure that is cached on the browser?

I am not using any funky animation - just show and hide. Can I stop these files from being loaded if I don't need them?

Increase size of menu item vertically

In my CSS menu if the item text is wider than the standard width of the menu item then the text goes down to another line and the menu item expands vertically. With my RadMenu the text breaks out of the menu item horizontally. Yes, I could trim the item text but that is no good. How can i get the menu item to expand vertically to fix in longer menu items text?

Thanks,

Leon.

I have a RadGrid on the first tab of a RadTabStrip, which is using a RadMultiView.

When I click on the "insert new record" for the grid, the whole page refreshes.  Outside of the tab strip, the grid would do an in place refresh without loading the entire page.

I've tried various settings for the RadScriptManager, telling it that the RadGrid initiates Ajax requests and that the RadGrid should also be updated usinga  Rad panel on my page.  But nothing happens.

Any tips on what settings to use to get my RadGrid to be Ajax-y when in a tab strip?

Thanks!
