Example Projects

I am a new user. Page 13 of the Learning Guide, section 1.6 "Before You Begin...", states that "Example projects can be found in \VS Projects\...". I've installed the product but cannot find the referenced example projects. Where are they?

Explain Developer License Please

Hi there,

I am a Sitefinity user. We have successfully used and integrated Sitefinity into one of our many website we develop and maintain. I am now looking into purchasing the RadControls to be used in our non-Sitefinity web applications as i have fallen in love with them (they super awesome!) :)...

I'm trying to figure out the Developer License with Subscription and Priority Support for $999. How does this license work? It says only 1 developer can use it... but we are in a team development environment; i might be the only developer developing with the license but other developers might need to run these websites on their local dev machines in order to develop other areas of the site (not necessarily the RadControls), will the sites cease to function on other development machines?

Then i noticed it says "Unlimited Deployments"... Does this mean after purchasing this license we can use the RadControls on any/all of our websites?

Could someone please explain how the licensing actualy works here? Is it similar to a "company wide license" where all developers in the company can use and develop with the license but the "1 developer" rule is so that the software isn't distributed outside of the company? I guess i need some further clarification of how we are restricted with this...

Localization in Q3?

Hi,
I could find where to localize the RadWindow such as "Close", "Maximize" in the toolbar icons.

Is this feature still not available in Q3?

fixing the grid width

I have a grid inside a containing div, the div is a fixed width of 650px. Ive set the width of the grid to 100% so it should stay within the boundaries of the containing div. The grid contains many columns, some of which have fairly long header text
eg
'Artist Genre Search Narrative'

because of this, the grid exceeds the width ive set the containing div and 'hangs outside' and off the screen, making it necesssary to scroll the page, a behaviour that I dont want.

How can I force the header text to wrap, the cell contents do it automatically, but the header doesnt.
Ive even fixed the width but it makes no difference

Problem with MOSSRadEditor base class in RadEditor for MOSS 4.5.6

Hi,

I downloaded the latest version of RadEditor for MOSS (version 4.5.6.0), but it broke my custom MOSS solution, because I can no longer create an instance of MOSSRadEditor in code. The error message is:

The type 'Telerik.SharePoint.MOSSRadEditor' has no constuctors defined.

In previous version that we were using (4.5.4.0) the constructor was public, but now it has been changed to internal. Has it been deliberately changed and is there another way I should instantiate the MOSSRadEditor class now? The help file of this editor version still suggests that the old code should work.

Multi row record

Hi.
Is it possible to break one data record into more then one row if the total width of all columns doesn't fit the width of the table?
But to have all features like sorting by clicking on column header, etc.

Something like this:

How to add row

Hi,

I want to add duplicate row whenever user clicks one button called "Create Duplicate" in RadGrid.

Ex: I have one Grid with columns EmpNo (Textbox), ProjectCode(Textbox) , Hour-Rate(Textbox) , StartDate(Textbox) , EndDate(Textbox) , CreateDuplicate (Button).

Say there are 10 rows in the grid.
If the user clicks "Create Duplicate" button in 2nd row, A duplicate row has to be added under 2nd row with the same EmpNo,ProjectCode and other controls with empty data which will be user entry. so now the total no.of rows in Grid will be 11.
Like that if user clicks on "Create Duplicate" button in 5h row A duplicate row has to be added under 5th row.

How to remove item-inserting row

Hi, I've some radcomboboxes and a radgrid, which is re-loaded after the changing of the comboboxes.
In the radgrid I can, when the grid is empty, insert a new row using the CommandItem.
All works fine, but I'd like to remove the inserting row when I change any of the comboboxes selected value
before updating or canceling on the inserting row.

I tried almost anything, but with no results till now.
