[Solved] RadComboBox SelectedIndexChanged fired incorrectly

I have 3 objects - 5 RadComboBoxes, 1 submit Button, 1 clear Button and 1 RadGrid. My RadComboBoxes have handlers for SelectedIndexChanged. That all works fine.

However, when I press the submit button, not only is the grid being bound (which is correct), but one of my RadComboBoxes is getting the SelectedIndexChanged fired again...any idea why?

I'd include code but it's 1000 lines. I see others have had this problem but don't see any resolution.

Source and Destination nodes with same parent event Handler

Hi!

I want to show an error message when a user tries to move the node to its own childs.

For example:

Node A
-node a.1
-node a.2

Move node A to node a.1. I want to show an error message and cancel the operation with set_cancel. Im not sure which client event to subscribe. I tried with the OnClientNodeDropping and OnClientNodeDropped but it did not trigger any of these events.

Passing Value to usercontrol from Grid_ItemCommand Event when grid is in EditMode

Sir
I want to load a value on the radtextbox which is in Usercontrol.
When the user clicks on the Edit button in the RadGrid on the aspx page,some value have tobe loaded in the usercontrol's radtextbox.That value is not included in Grid's datasource,instead it is taken from another dataset.So i need to pass the value to usercontrol which is in RadGrid

Plz help me...

Dragging and resizing don't appear to be working

This is straight out of all the demos posted on this site (http://www.telerik.com/DEMOS/ASPNET/Prometheus/Dock/Examples/Overview/DefaultCS.aspx)

I can't get any of the floating docking windows to move, nor can I resize them in any of those demos.

I didn't want to start testing this control if it's not working out of the box on Telriks own site and I haven't seen any posts regarding this problem.

I'm using Windows XP SP2 & IE 7.

As a side note I tested the pages using Firefox 2.0 and they do work there so it appears to be an issue with IE7 (at least for me)

Is anyone else having this issue?

Grid is not visible in the server side code

Dear Telerik Team,

I am using the telerik Rad Grid Net2 whose version is follows:
Runtime version: v2.0.50727
Version 5.1.1.0

I have included the DLL in the application and then in the server side code it is not visible for binding data to it.

Same way the skin which is in the new controls are not applicable to it. How to apply my own style to it?

Can any one help in this regard?

Using Update Panels with the Treeview

I have a specific question, though one which might benefit others getting started with your treeview control. Here's the main part of a web page I'm building:

The treeview on the left is used to navigate down to a specific record. Once a bottommost node is reached the record's index is looked up and the associated data is displayed on the right.

In this way, the functionality is very uni-directional, except for one thing: If the user changes the text in the Description textbox then the associated node in the treeview must also be updated.

Initially I've implemented just one AJAX Update Panel, surrounding everything. But my client has reported that on their slower network, he can see IE6 repopulating hundreds of items in the tree everytime an item on the right side is altered. So this got me thinking that perhaps I should add a second Update Panel encompassing all of the controls on the right.

If you were building such a form and wanted to minimize network traffic, where would you add Update Panels?

LinkManager tool popup location problem

I have the radeditor inside of a modal popup window. When I click the LinkManger or ImageManager the popup window for these controls is behind the modal popup and inaccessible until you close the modal window. I tried to set the tool's z property to 10000. When I point to the popup using IE developer toolbar, it says that the popup z index is 10000. Is there a way to get the tool popups to display on top of the modal window?

Filter option "greater"...

Hi,

in my grid the filter options for integers doesn't work properly. I have columns with filter options



    
    
        
            Telerik.Web.UI.GridFilterListOptions.VaryByDataType;

The Grid shows the right filter options in each column. But when I use greater, less, greater than and so on, the filter doesn't filter right.

Is there any solution to this problem?

Problem With RADTOOLTIP postion

Hi,

I am facing problem with RADTOOLTIP postion.I am using RADtooltip control and i am setting its text property at Runtime.

I have set its RelativeTo property to "ToolTipRelativeDisplay.Element" and also tried with "ToolTipRelativeDisplay.Mouse" but it is still giving problem.

Tooltip is showing at different position far away from its targetcontrolid.

Please help...
