I recently purchased the RadControls for ASP.NET AJAX package with the intention of using the controls on an existing website.  This website has an extensive CSS foundation with global styles for every HTML element you can imagine.  Unfortunately, I am unable to make changes to this set of styles due to a web standards initiative that's in place here at my work.  I only have the ability to add additional overriding styles in a sperate style sheet.

I was previously working with a demo version of your controls, Version 7.1.0... I believe, and I had built up several pages full of CSS that prevented RadControls from inheriting these global CSS styles.  With the version I just purchased, however, It appears that so much has changed that my overriding styles are no longer relevant. Almost all of the controls are renderd completely unusable by the global CSS styles (which again, I must use).

QUESTION: Is there a way to prevent the controls from inheriting global CSS styles without spending months adding classes to my HTML elements and without spending months rewriting the overiding CSS? Perhaps a setting which renders all styles with a trailing !important attribute? I tied setting the CssFiles property to a blank stylesheet on some of the controls, but it didn't do anything.

Can someone tell me how to add a dataitem to a radgrid without databinding?
I would think there would be a radgrid.items.add(dataitem) but there does not seem to be this functionality.

Hi,
    I want all the Telerik scripts and custom scripts (non-telerik) to be combined into one file using the RadScriptManager and hence single request.
Do i need to combine all the custom js files into an assembly and then use the <asp:ScriptReference>?  Is it  not possible to combine the custom scripts without adding them to an assembly?

I have an upload control that works fine on several servers. On one server it seems to upload files as normal, but the progress gets stuck at 92% and eventually comes back with a javascript error 'Sys.WebForms.PageRequestManagerTimeoutException'.  The files are small, and the server and connections high spec so it is not a problem there.
After it has done this it is necessary to recycle the application pool as it hangs the website.
I am not getting any exceptions thrown, or anything in the event log.

Have you any guidance as to how to investigate this problem?

I have a radgrid with form template edit enabled and that works perfectly when the template opens up within the grid. But I want the form template to open up as a popup instead. I set the radgrid's editmode=popup and under the mastertableview settings also I set the editmode=popup. But nothing seems to make a difference. The edit form always shows up inside the grid. How do I get the edit form to popup?

I have a grid with eight bound columns with headers.  In each row, below these columns, I need to add a bound "comment" field  that spans across all eight columns. Will Card View allow me to do this?  Is there an easier way?

Is there a way to have hyperlinks for GridBoundColumn cells?
I need to use Aggregate and FooterAggregateFormatString attributes for GridBoundColumn, but I also need to make the cells clickable as GridHyperLinkColumns

My customer wants to print a years worth of calendars - as well as other things that make me want to use the scheduler and not calendar.  I have basically plopped 12 schedulers on the form and populate them all individually.  My problem is that I want to have the August 2008 to show up at the top, but not the prev/next buttons and the options to change the view types.  It seems like all of those are tied together in the ShowHeaders property - is that correct or am I missing something.  If I am correct, is there a workaround?

Hello, in the previous release of controls this code would allow me to update the ValidationGroup of a RadTabstrip all clientside. This doesn't seem to be the case anymore. Do you have any suggestions?
