Here is a quick overview of what's new in the product lines:

RadControls for WinForms

5 New Products

  • RadListControl and RadDropDownList are enriched alternatives to the standard combobox and listbox controls. Both perform exceptionally well with thousands of items and support multi-line text with HTML-like text formatting, checkboxes, and rich visualizations. The brand new controls entirely replace the existing RadListBox and RadComboBox control;
  • RadPageView is the successor of RadTabStrip and RadPanelBar by providing different views over a collection of pages. The control is fully customizable yet greatly optimized for both memory consumption and performance. It offers better item sizing and spacing, as well as extended orientation modes.
  • RadDesktopAlert is another new component in the Telerik toolbox, which is used to alert the end user of a new event in the application with a small popup on the screen, much like new mail notifications in Microsoft Outlook. Among the most important features of this component are multi-monitor support, screen alignment, auto-close and pinning/unpinning functionality, fade and bounds animations.
  • RadReminder is an extension to RadScheduler, however it can also be used as a stand-alone component. When coupled with RadScheduler (through the SchedulerReminder component) it shows a reminder pop-up dialog at a preset time with the option to snooze the reminder, quite like Microsoft Outlook®. The reminder dialog is fully customizable through a full collection of events and supports themes.

Existing products

  • RadGridView brings new UI and data layers, which advances the control to a new level in terms of visual appeal, UI customization, and data manipulation. It now supports Column virtualization, Split View, Pinned columns/rows, Grouping by multiple columns, Export to PDF/HTML/CSV and more.

Telerik Reporting

What's new in Q2 2010

  • Interactive Reports allow users to drill through data in order to get a better understanding of the information presented in a master report; jump to bookmarked sections in a report; visit external web URLs.
  • Two new data source components which can be used to codelessly bind the data report items (Table, Crosstab, List, and Chart) to object-relational frameworks, through the use of design-time wizards: OpenAccessDataSource to connect to the OpenAccess Model and EntityDataSource to connect to an ADO.NET Entity Data Model.
