Automated Testing in the Mile High City - Denver, CO

Last week Telerik co-sponsored the SQuAD conference in Denver, CO (also known as 'The Mile High City' due to its elevation of 1 mile above sea level). SQuAD is short for the Software Quality Association of Denver - what better place to showcase Telerik's next generation automated testing tools! On Wednesday we hosted an in-depth four hour automation workshop that allowed attendee's to build their own test automation using Telerik's WebUI Test Studio QA Edition. The session was a hit and the feedback, tremendous. Thursday we presented a one hour session on Silverlight Test Automation. This presentation reviewed many of the challenges ...

Best Practices: Element Identification with ID and AutomationID

As a QA professional, it’s important to get involved with the development team early on in the process. This article will discuss just one of the many benefits in doing so – coding standards and the use of ID’s for enhanced team productivity. Require this up front and you can significantly cut back test case maintenance. No matter what software you use for your test automation, the method in which elements are identified plays a critical role. Accessing Google Data from .NET One of the cool things about Google is that they are a very data oriented company. Telerik / NCover Webinar Now on Telerik TV!

I just wrapped up a Telerik / NCover joint webinar with Daniel Waldschmidt, NCover's Technology Evangelist. What a fantastic session! We provided great demonstrations of Telerik's Automated Testing Tools including tests with 'If..Else Statements', 'Do...While Loops', 'Coded Steps' and the handy 'Test As Step' feature. We then packed these tests into two test lists - first running a baseline test list in WebUI Test Studio with NCover monitoring IIS, then followed it up with a more complete test list to see the spike in coverage. Dan W. then took us on a tour of NCover which showed us how much ...
