    Conferences?

I was thinking about how professional conferences and the accompanying them trade shows are a great place for networking, finding out what’s hot in the industry and learning from the leading experts in the field.  I still believe that conferences are very useful  but I am starting to have some second thoughts about the tradeshows. Considering the myriad of online communication recourses available to companies for interacting with their customers and the community, and the global economy crisis, 2009 will be an interesting year. I decided to post this to see if you have any opinion on the subject. I think it will be interesting...

IMS London 2008 – First European Thrills for Sitefinity

… And surely not the last ones! This massive event on content management and Web 2.0 technologies gave us the chance to see the way a conference goes in Europe. We were definitely not disappointed – the event was huge, all of the usual suspects were there of course :) It turned to be a very interesting experience – our staff at the booth quickly learned that the approach here should be different – the audience primarily consisted of business users who were not exactly into coding; the attendees seemed to be more reserved and shy when approaching the exhibitors;...

    The Survey Results are In!

I put out a survey about two weeks ago to ask you what controls you want to see in upcoming RadTips episodes. The 155 responses I received were spread fairly evenly, but it looks like the controls you are most interested in learning more about are the RadGrid, RadAjax, OpenAccessDataSource, & RadInputManager controls. Thanks to all who participated in the survey. Keep an eye out on my blog in the coming weeks as I start to deliver new RadTips that help you squeeze all the functionality out of these controls. If you have any specific features that you'd like to see me...

    Pictures from the Road

Conference season has been in full swing for the past couple of months, and I must say I'm glad things are settling down so I can get back into my normal routine. All this traveling has been fun - especially the opportunities to meet Telerik customers and many great members of the .NET community - but I'm ready to see the end of airports and conference halls for a few months. Those of you who travel to all the conferences and speak for a living, I have a newfound respect for you! One of the cool things that I've brought home...

    Look Ma, I’m on TV!

Seems I’ve gotten my 15 minutes of fame after all (more like 5). During PDC’08 Todd and I had the chance to meet with Adam Kinney from Microsoft and talk about one of the coolest new telerik products – the WPF Charts and Gauges. The video is now up on Channel 9 and can be accessed here. In the mean while we pulled off our first release and the charts and gauges are now a part of the WPF controls suite. You can see them in all their splendor here. If you are excited about the charts as we are – share...
