Have Real Fun with RadCalendar for WinForms

Hi everyone, Let me take the opportunity to introduce myself to the Telerik community - my name is Boyko Markov and I’m a lead developer for the RadCalendar WinForms component that will be officially introduced in our Q2 release. I will do my best to post interesting ideas and helpful information on RadCalendar and few other controls, including the upcoming RadDateTimePicker control. Telerik RadCalendar for Windows Forms. The newest addition to the RadControls for WinForms suite is Telerik RadCalendar for WinForms – a control we kept in secret up until now. We decided to keep it a secret not only to surprise you...

    WPF - What Products Follow?

Since we released the first version of our Windows Forms UI controls we've received quite a lot of questions about our plans for WPF. Basically the questions revolve around the following: - Is Telerik going to offer products for WPF? - When will they be public? - What controls will be included? Most of you probably know the answer to the first question and is an unequivocal “Yes”! Even though there are some misconceptions that WPF is good only for displaying cool things on the sides of a rotating cube, we believe that even in its current form it offers a lot to build upon....

Recipe for Vista. A step ahead

The first CTP of WPF/E is official and it rocks! If I were Steve Ballmer I would shout: Designers, designers, designers, designers, designers.... Why designers? May be because as a developer (or at least that's how I consider my mindset) I miss too much WPF features in WPF/E at the moment, starting from the handy, nice layouts. I hope someone from the telerik UX team will try it and share his/her experience to the reading public. Btw, there're new Expression tools (announced as Expression Studio) so expect some blog posts from the people who make our site and products look so nice. Today's...

Evaluate r.a.d.controls for WinForms and go to Hawaii. Not bad?

There's a telerik contest going on. The requirements are simple - you have to prepare a small app using our WinForms controls and fill in a survey. We've already started receiving participants' applications and I'm really amazed how quickly people get used to our controls, and especially how fast they've learned to use the Visual Style Builder application (the application which helps you create a theme and style each telerik Windows Forms UI control). We'll be offering three iPods as 3rd prizes, an Xbox 360 as the second prize, and the winner will get a fabulous 4 day trip to Hawaii! Why Hawaii? Well, there's...

    r.a.d.controls for WinForms in WPF

As most of you may already know, .NET Framework 3.0 has officially been released. Personally, I think WPF is great. I can't wait to see the final versions of Expression Interactive Designer and VS 2005 extensions for .NET 3.0. You can download it, check it, and admire its potential. Once the admiration starts fading away, you may ask yourself "now what?". You may start writing applications from scratch, you may start migrating existing WinForms applications, or you may decide to wait for the final versions of Expression Interactive Designer and Visual Studio Orcas. You may even decide to wait till Windows...
