Is it possible to have YAxis labels that are string/text instead of just numeric?  I know you can do this on the XAxis, but what about the YAxis?  I am trying to construct a bar chart that represents the current status of the production of a digest of articles.  What I am thinking I want to do is show the percentage complete using a horizontal display (from 0 to 100), but I would also like to show each of the various stages that go into producing the digest.  Each stage (for instance, "Proof Editing") would show as a separate label along with the YAxis.  That way, our staff can look at the chart and see not only the % complete, but see what steps still have to be completed and what steps have already been done.  Any suggestions?

Hi Dave,

Please, check this blog post for details about customizing the auto-generated Y axis items. Alternatively, you can set the AutoScale property to false and manually add items to Y axis. Each item has a TextBlock and you can alter its Text property.

Hope this helps.

Sincerely,

Thanks for the reply.  That helps, but I still have more questions.  Here is what I'm trying to do:

There are 8 major milestones that each issue in my organization goes through in order to reach publication.  I would like to show the administrator a RadChart that shows how much of a given issue has been completed.  I would like to show a full chart (0 - 100) instead of just a portion of the chart.  It doesn't seem like it's letting me show the full chart - even when using extended axismode.  If only 37.5% of the issue has been completed, I still want to show the full YAxis (i.e. 0 to 100).  Here is how I also want the chart to function:  I want to show 8 text labels along with Y axis (each label rotated 45 degrees with autotextwrap).  Each text label would be shown every 12.5 since there are 8 milestones (i.e. 12.5 * 8 = 100).  I want to have a horizontal bar chart that would have one bar in it that shows the status of the current issue being viewed.  I cannot seem to get the labels to show properly along the YAxis.  In this case, the YAxis would run along with the bottom of the chart (since the bar chart is positioned horizontally).  I have tried many different things and am getting very frustrated.  Can you please help me?

Hello Dave,

Here is my reply from the support ticket:

You will need to set AutoScale property of the Y axis to false. Please, find attached an example, showing how to achieve this.
