I've worked with ComponentArt, inherited a slew of applications both Web and Windows created with Intersoft, did a bit with Infragistics, played around a bit with DevExpress and most recently tried to develop a web page with Microsoft DataGridView
there is no comparison
Telerik rocks
granted, I am way more interested in doing CRUD in the simplest and most rugged method
there was like nearly zero learning curve
I put together a three-level grid in a day
I wrote a page which handled upwards of 50,000 items without breaking a sweat
go back to using the Microsoft grid-you deserve the agita
Interesting, My dev team are coming to the conclusion that unless you are specifically using the Telerik controls for their basic CRUD functionality they are more hassle than they are worth. We've now switched to MVC3, though it was a bit of a learning curve we are getting much better results rolling our own controls. Perhaps we might look at the Telerik MVC controls which I believe are opensource.
