Hi,

I've noticed an odd problem with the rendering of the radeditor on one of my pages - I've got a set of controls (one of which is a radeditor) in a rad tool tip control, the tool tip control is in a asp update panel.

When the control first loads the rendering of the rad editor is screwed up (see onload.jpg attached), but if you resize the radeditor (using the handle down the bottom right) it corrects the layout (see after resize.jpg).

Any ideas what might cause this?

Hello Ian,

Please, try the solution provided in the following sticky note: Incorrect rendering of RadEditor when shown with AJAX in initially hidden parent. You can also try to fix the problem by registering the external skins of RadEditor or the CDN Skins.

If you still experience the reported problem, isolate it in a simple fully working project and send it for examination.

All the best,

Hi Rumen,

Thank you for your reply, sadly the solution's did not work in my case, I have got around the problem by removing the editor from the rad tool tip control and putting it in a normal panel - so it would seem to be something to do with the tool tip control that was causing my problems.

Not sure this will be of future use to you or not but I tried to use javascript to manually set the height of the editor before moving the editor out of the tool tip control - this didn't seem to work so I put in an alert to test if it was firing and the javascript was not firing, as soon as I put the editor into a normal panel the javascript started firing.
